A local radio station here plays Silent Lucidity about every day. I so love that song. I think Marty would do a fantastic job with that song. I've seen Queensryche in concert 2x's and OMG if you ever get a chance to hear Silent Lucidity live it's worth the price of admission Geoff Tate is such an awesome vocalist, just like Marty ;D

That's a hard list to put down. It would be hundreds of songs. To make it short, I will just say for favorite song/s of the moment (or month) are songs off new Foo Fighters and Audioslave CD's.

hmm, I have a wide array of music tastes. I love Tangerine by Zeppelin, I actually love about anything by them. Lihium, Come As You Are and In Bloom by Nirvana. They are one of my all time favs. Audioslave is awesome and Seether's cd is great too. I also kinda dig Breaking Benjamin, I still think they are an up and coming, they keep getting better with every cd.

Great thread! A few of my favourite songs off the top of my head: Berlin Chair - You am I Killing in the name of - Rage Against the Machine Porch - Pearl Jam Common People - Pulp Here Comes Your Man - Pixies Lounge Act - Nirvana Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley Everlong - Foo Fighters Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand More recent: Evil - Interpol Dakota - Stereophonics Mr Brightside - The Killers The Bucket - Kings of Leon Oh My God - Kaiser Chiefs That's it, for now! Too many songs, so little time! Gotta say sparkydream, I love The Wide Open Road too, great lyrics, that song sends chills up my spine, funny, cause I was just on ITunes looking for a copy of it. It's not there Oh yeah, LOL, three of my favourite songs were performed by Marty on Rockstar, no wonder I ended up liking him.

OMG!! I haven't thought about Joy Division in years. That totally takes me back . Love Will Tear Us Apart -- I loved that song. Joy Division, New Order (responsible for launching the research into Joy Division), Shriekback, Cocteau Twins and The Smiths were the soundtrack to my summer between 10th and 11th grades. My boyfriend at the time used to sing Temptation to me, but he'd personalize the lyrics... "Oh you've got green eyes, oh you've got green eyes, oh you've got green eyes"... He also used to play the piano and sing a Shriekback song that went something like, "May the moon be your bed and the sea rock you gently..." Ah, young love. I may have to start digging through my old cassettes again.

I may have to start digging through my old cassettes again. I rented a movie a couple of weeks ago titled "24 Hour Party People" which was basically about Joy Division, New Order and that whole period. So that kicked off my quest to listen to those groups. You should check it out, although I have to say I was engrossed at the beginning of the movie, but my interest waned at the end.

I also wanted to mention that I'm really into Jack Johnson right now, too. The radio station I listen to plays him a lot and every time they do I totally get into it.
They've mainly been playing the songs "Bubble Toes" and one I think is called "Break Down".

I've seen QR about 15 times (yikes), and they are my favorite band after LH. SL is not my favorite song, I think because it tends to be overplayed compared to their other stuff. The last time I saw it live Geoff intro'd it by telling us a conversation he had with his kids, and it brought me to tears.
