LOL
I had 5 pints of beer last night (irish and english beer) and feel like poopies today....
Was wondering if that chaser stuff works? I guess you have to take it before you go out or something.
I might need this at the Lincoln City show!

R I thought you were watching your waistline, it had better been lite beer you were a drinkin'... ;D I had never tried 'chaser' for hang overs...maybe because I very rarely drink or get drunk.

I might need this at the Lincoln City show! R Here's my hangover prevention tip: one glass of water for every alcoholic beverage. Sometimes I forget about the water as the evening wears on, though, so I take an Advil Cold & Sinus before I fall asleep -- it really works. I usually wake up feeling fine. On those occasions when I've been having too good a time to remember the water OR the Advil and end up hungover, the best hangover remedy I had found is a Big Mac meal at McDonald's (supersize the Diet Coke). It works like a dream, and I'm good to go by sunset.

Never used Chaser...but I generally do what julianah does, one glass of water for every alcoholic beverage. If you lag behind on the H2O take two Motrin, some saltine crackers (5-10 depending on amount drunk), and a full glass of water before crashing...I've never had a hangover yet!

Yes i have heard the water thing before. And also calcium and vitamin b complex. wild- last night was a friends 50th birthday party and so we celebrated. I am watching my waistline and have 15 more lbs to go to reach my own personal goal weight of 195. I am not going to deprive myself!! And none of the beer I drank was lite! I workout out hard core in the gym today. my shoulders and triceps are killing me already (the two groups I worked out today), plus I did 1/2 hour of hard cardio (jogging) and then various ab crunches.

Good for you! You can't stop living just because you're trying to get in shape. About 5 years ago I gained 15 pounds when I quit smoking. (I am smoking again now, but I did stay away from them for 2 whole years.) Anyway, when I first quit, I replaced my pack-a-day smoke habit with a pack-a-day of Strawberry Twizzlers. Big mistake. I gained weight SO quickly. After a couple of months of not being able to fit into my favourite clothes, I said a sad farewell to the Twizzlers and decided to get back in shape. My sister was trying to lose weight at the same time. She did the Atkins thing, and took it to the extreme. She acted like a slice of bread or a beer would kill her. I took a different approach. I just tried to stay away from junk food, but I still ate things I like (and had the occasional beer or G&T). I also did weights and power yoga. Yoga is addictive (at least for me); I LOVE it (it does amazing things for one's state of mind as well). It was remarkable how quickly it kicked my butt into shape. I ended up losing more weight than my sister did... and I was a lot happier and healthier while doing it. It was also easy to keep it off because I wasn't trying to stick to some ridiculous diet. That's just my two cents worth. I'm sure other people have found different things that work for them, but I think moderation and exercise are definitely the smart way to go.

LOL@henry. Its some herbal supplement thing you take with a full glass of water before you go drinking.
wild- Nah, I didnt take that seriously, and could tell you were kidding! CHEERS!
juli- That's too bad you started smoking again. I quit 11 months ago. 2 days before Christmas, it was one of the hardest things I have ever done besides getting off my fat butt and getting in shape. I might as well keep at it, since I am getting results. But witht he coming holidays, i am planning on mini pig outs........
Thanksgiving Day I am watching the first three Star Wars dvds (Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith and then the day after I am watching the other three......... and have my snacks all planned and stuff. LOL
