I’d like to extend my wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving to everyone here at MC.org! I’m thankful for many things (family, friends, job, health, etc.), but now added to my list is my new found friends at MC.org and I’m also thankful for Cindy and Amy letting me be a part of something so special.
We will have do our yearly "ritual" as follows: waking up early to help Mom with the Turkey, watching the Macy’s parade, trying to steal food when Mom’s not looking, and helping clean up after dinner. Then we make hot tea and eat pie while watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. After the movie, we go outside and put up the holiday lights in the dark-----but we don’t put up as many lights as Griswold does in “Christmas Vacation.” So there you have it…our family ritual….simple but fun.
May each and every one of you have the best Thanksgiving ever!!!! (And I will try to steal all the stuffing as usual….I LOVE the stuffing….forget the turkey…LOL!)

I plan on having the family Thanksgiving dinner on Friday as I am returning from Chicago Thursday afternoon. As soon as I get in from the airport, I have to start cooking!!

Yay! Hats off to MC.org!! Its been a great year!! I love thanksgiving. Its my second favorite holiday next to xmas. I love to cook. And I love the stuffing too Amy! It's my favorite. I spend hours making it out of scratch...hehe Just the mention of stuffing is enough to fill me with joy. It's one of my favourite things EVER. My nana always cooked our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners but she passed away 4 years ago. I've taken over the job of making the stuffing. Her recipe is SO fattening, but so good. I just have to share it. First, you melt about a POUND of butter and cook a couple of chopped onions and some garlic in it. Then you add about 3 cups of bread crumbs and three cups of mashed potatoes, salt, pepper, and copious amounts of summer savoury. You're stirring the whole thing and browning it this whole time. If it looks kind of dry, you dump in some chicken stock and MORE BUTTER. Then stuff the turkey with it. It's PURE HEAVEN. I know that the latest news on food safety says that you shouldn't stuff a turkey; you should just cook the stuffing separately. I just can't bring myself to do that. My nana got that recipe from her mother and she got it from her mother... They're all dead now, but none of them died of food poisoning. Damn, now I want stuffing. It's 2:30 AM and I'm craving stuffing. P.S. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL THE AMERICANS AT MARTYCASEY.ORG!!!! I'm jealous of you all; no turkey for me this week. Canadian Thanksgiving is in early October.

Happy Thanksgiving (or Turkey Day, as my grandfather jokingly calls it) Everyone!
I'll be home with a small mother/daughter meal, too much school stuff goin' on to drive up to Maine with the rest of the family, but that's the way I like it - X-Mas is the [u[big[/u] family day for us.
- For all you Canadians (Julianah) and other non-celebrating-Thanksgiving folk...Have a good every-day! ;D

Is your family from Maine? Are you originally from Maine? That would make us practically related. Maine is a lot like Nova Scotia (except they have way more guns).

Happy Turkey Day!! Wishing all a great day with the ones you love.
My sister was born on Thanksgiving 47 years ago (the 28th) so she is always our honorary turkey for the day even when Thanksgiving doesn't fall on her birthday. We will do the turkey tour so 2 meals! One in Tampa with hubbies family and one here with mine. Kids get tired and cranky, we eat way to much and I gain back the 10 pounds I just lost. I love Thanksgiving! Seriously, I'm thankful for so much this year!
Have a wonderful day and to those going to the Metro enjoy and give us a full report !
Cindy, your family must be very understanding to let you off for Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Travel safe!
(All my co-workers leaving the office today have told everyone else Happy Thanksgiving, but they have been saying "Happy Lovehammer concert!" to me. Hee. How transparent am I?)

I'm very greatful for everything I have, but am a little bummed today. I was supposed to go w/ my family to see about 40-50 of our relatives for a 3 day house party but I got a stupid illness.
To top it off I feel like the kid who got left home while the family went out and had fun. I mean tons of us (message board members) are enjoying the Lovehammers live. I'm at home listening to cds and waiting breathlessly for news. Hope everyone
