Sorry Ayesa, realised that sounded like I was having a go at you - no no no - just thinking of Mark Burnett, and how some things just shouldn't be done!

Freddy can never be replaced. I can't even think of another with the octive range that he had. I could see VH getting in on this and having some fun. And, yes, I did and still do have big hair!!!!! I don't think another RockStar will be as good as INXS because of the talent involved but I could be wrong. (wow! did I say that out loud???!!!!)

Kurt Cobain WAS Nirvana. Now that he's gone, there can never again be a Nirvana. In total agreement.

haha^^ We really wanted it to be Queen over at my house, but my little brother came up with an idea, that though cool, is almost sacreligious: Rockstar Nirvana You could NEVER, EVER, EVER replace Freddie!!! Just the thought of it ... And once again, agreed. I didn't watch RockStar:INXS with any emotional attachment to INXS per say. They were never really my cup of tea (though Michael Hutchence was pretty HOT for his time, I must admit). However, in my mind Michael hasn't been replaced. Kind of wish they would have just formed a band under a different name. I know, there is the whole franchise business (name recognition... blah, blah, blah). Oh, and I guess they would have to repaint the jet! Anyway, they still could have "covered" the old INXS songs with JD. When I first heard of the show I was somewhat put off. Out of some kind of morbid curiosity I tuned-in, and then there was MARTY , and that is the only thing that kept me coming back week after week. Never wanted him to win, just come in second - especially after finding the Lovehammer site and listening to their music . So maybe a second RockStar would attract me in the end. Once again hoping to find another "new" talent (who would come in second, hopefully). Because with the set-up of RockStar, the person who comes in first is probably (at least artistically), the loser. Just my feeling.

I think RS VH would be pretty cool (80's metal head here) I think Neal should try out he's got that flamboyant over the top thing going plus he has a new baby to feed Or Suzie. Actually she might do well, at one point in the early 80's after Roth left and before Hagar VH auditioned Patty Smyth (Scandal) and liked her a lot. Suzie has that rock swagger thing going for her too.

In all honesty I wouldn't mind just a plain "Rock Star" without a headline band. However, I've not thought the plan through very well.....lol. I don't know about a CD/tour after the show's over. But the AI winners (and runners up) seem to do quite well......except for Reuben Studdard. I'm never again watching AI - I've been TOO spoiled by Rock Star and Mark Burnett!

The problem with the house band idea is that there is no original music they have that we know of... so the search would be for not only a singer, but a writer as well...
And even so, there is no way of knowing how successful that would be...
Nonetheless... interesting...
