Best, at least Funniest, Christmas Present Ever

I've been keeping a secret about how I feel about Marty's ties. I really don't think they look good on him. (except when hanging from belt loops) Believe me, I love (and have gushed about) every other aspect of Marty. Anyway, some how, Penny found out about my secret feelings for that dang tie and we were intellectually discussing it on pages 13-16 (?) in the LH Stills/Animation. This is one of my replies to one of her replies..

One of these days I will have to ask her how she knew about the tie.

Anyway, she threatened to murder me if he wore a tie at Aragon. He did. She phoned me in the middle of "Better of Walk Away" to let me know that he was wearing the tie. Fortunately, I was saved by her bliss from partying with the band.

So, Penny and I are talking about a present that she has for me. She breaks down and tells me that she took a red tie to the concert and had Marty sign it for me. I'm all aflutter.

I tell my friends at church, I tell my fellow teachers, I tell my sister, I tell my students. I tell almost everyone that I will soon be getting a tie signed by Marty Casey and promising to bring it in and show them.

Today, I meet the mail person and am so giddy to get my package. I take it in. Open it. And fall to the floor laughing. My face turned bright red. My sister was questioning and all I could do was hold up the tie.

You see, the tie looks almost identical to this one:


but Marty wrote at the bottom of the tie: "Marty was here" with an arrow pointing down.

I will post a picture as soon as I can. It will be more humorous then.

Oh and the tie is currently tied to my belt loops so it's pointing at my feet and not other areas.

I'm really glad you like it. He got a big kick out of signing it and showed Billy and Bobby, who both laughed. Of course, I didn't tell him how much you HATE the ties, just told him you have "a thing about" his red ties.

That is the best Christmas present, EVER, dramagirl! Penny rocks and so does Marty.

I didn't know you didn't like Marty in a tie. Dramagirl, you could have told me. There's no need for secrets between friends.

I was hoping to have my autographed bra in my hands before Christmas. I was going to wear it on Christmas morning. Alas, it was not to be. No couriers at my door today. I guess I'll just have to wear it on New Year's Eve instead.

I'm sure you all remember the hideous hat that Miggy wore during Rockstar INXS? The cowboy one? Well, my mom bought me one that looks just like it. I am reveling in the tackiness.

One of my friends who understands my love for the ties got me a red tie & a burgandy paisley tie for a Christmas gag gift. I fell out laughing & no one knew why^^
