Another nugget of wisdom passed through my brain... the hard way...
Don't get so caught up in the preperation of food and making everything 'perfect' <in fact some of the best memories come from the "imperfect" moments> that you do like I did and totally space
SAFETY...
I was incorporating my daughter in breakfast this morning by using the cookie cutters on biscut dough... one did not cook all the way, so I put it back in the oven on a 'wire' rack... when I checked it I was so concerned about the 'dough being done' that I spaced the fact that the rack held with the ovenmit was hot... and grabbed it with my unprotected hand...
Now I have five different burns on my nondominate hand <guess which... LOL> and one of them looks like its a 2nd degree burn right in the bend of my hand and finger <can I get a frickin ouch in here?>
To my credit, I did not whine, scream, cuss, or throw shit <I might play it up a tad to do less around the house... LMFAO!> and I now need help cooking, doing laundry, etc.
On the serious note... the burns are real... safety is the first f**kin priority... and they hurt like hell...
So Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and be safe...
<A damn nurse with burns on the hands... go f**kin figure eh?>
Sheesh!
