I've just finished reading all the posts and decided to post a crazy question of my own. I know it's not a important question, but have you ever wondered if you should just buy or rent a movie when it comes out on DVD?
I love all of Owen Wilson's movies, but I haven't seen Wedding Crashers yet and it comes out on DVD tomorrow. I hate when I rent a movie and LOVE it because then I just wasted almost $5.00 I could have put that towards buying it--- BUT I've also bought a movie for almost $20 and wished I would've just rented it.
Did any of you see this movie? Is it worth the $20 bucks or just rent it?
Now if this was a Lovehammers DVD---I'd have NO problem making that decision!!!

You can also try out Netflix or Blockbuster online for a 2-week free trial or check eBay for a cheaper copy.
Wish I could be more helpful, but that's one I haven't seen yet although everything I heard about it has been good.

My taste might be totally different than yours though... I usually rent a movie then if I like it a whole lot and want to add it to my dvd library then I would buy it. Here's a couple of links that you might enjoy... speakers on, read and watch the beginning and ending... www.weddingcrashersmovie.com/crashthistrailer/index.htm?id=231563www.weddingcrashersmovie.com/crashthistrailer/index.htm?id=231571

Robin, My daughter just bought the Wedding Crashers Uncorked Version and after my son's basketball game a bunch of us got together and watched it. For me it is not a movie I would pay 20 dollars for or even watch a second time, although there was a few humorous parts in it,it seemed to drag on forever! The uncorked version shows a lot of different womens naked breasts and butts etc.. and I dont recommend watching it with a bunch of college boy's around (LOL). I think it would be a good "Rent me movie" and go from their. My daughter loves Owen Wilson, thats why she bought it and she really liked the movie. To me I think Hollywood writers are getting a little stale with there creativeness, a lot of movies are all the same now. You can actually guess whats gonna happen next. Or youve seen the same plotline or heard the same joke before!

Haven't seen it but I think renting is the safet choice. If you have a DVD burner you can burn it to DVD after you watch it Just a thought

Hi- I bought Wedding Crashers, as everyone said it was hilarious. I liked it, but did not think it was as great as everyone made out. However, it's a funny movie to have on hand when company comes over. I would rent it first, then if you love it, make the purchase. -Wendy

I'm on the NetFlix wagon. It's cheap and can let you decide if you want to buy something.

well, I guess cause I'm in HK where we can get any movie cheap and we can't rent anyway, the answer for me is always buy. I did see Wedding Crashers -- as I love both OW and VV -- but it wasn't quite as hilarious as I hoped (although it did have its moments!) I actually think VV is better in the film. He gets all the insane lines --and he has that Chicago thing that makes me lmao. I'll bet the outtakes/deleted scenes are good on the DVD -- anybody know if there is a commentary track?
