I love Chris. I'd love for a Rocker to win, but I just don't think that America is ready for it...My pick to win is Katherine. She can sing! They need to get better than this week, though or people (aka me) may stop watching.

I'm not really looking forward to the country theme this week. Anyone else gonna skip it?

Next week: Songs of Queen .... yeah, much more interesting than this week.
I do like country music (mostly the older stuff) but I kind of figured these contestants were not gonna be too exciting singing country..... glad this week is over.
Really surprised to see Mandisa go. She wasn't my favorite but she could sing for sure....

Oh man, i too am glad this week is over because I am NOT a fan of country music. I am however a fan of Queen so I am really excited for next week. I wonder how many songs will get screwed up?!?!
polar, i am glad that Taylor was safe too. Though I do have to admit I have been a bit let down by him lately. He is from Alabama so I have to vote for him religiously. But I miss his "whooooo"s and "HEY!"s and his Ray Charles/Stevie Wonder sway thing that he did in the beginning. He is a GREAT singer in my opinion but all that stuff set him apart from the rest and that was what appealed to me so much. I was really hoping that for the country week he would come back and maybe even bust out the harmonica for us!

For those Chris Daughtry fans who want to hear his band's music, go to garagebands.com, click on hard rock genre and type in "Absent Element", the name of his band. I would post the link but my computer goes haywire when I do that .

Interesting show last night... it was fun to see another blonde do "Bohemian Rhapsody" - what is Kelly, 17? I thought she did a fine job. I didn't really get to see Taylor's performance because when he missed that kick to the mic stand... I lost it and laughed uncontrollably for the next 5 minutes. ;D

I'm w/ you GE, I covered my face when Taylor did that. I was soooo embarassed for him. I was pretty disappointed in Chris, thought he would have done better w/ some more "popular" Queen songs. I thought he could have done a good job w/ "Show Must Go On". And when Paris giggled in the middle of singing that song, it annoyed me. Hello! Song was written and recorded while he knew he was dying! Not appropriate.

I was so happy to see Tylor back to himself. I have truly missed him. Still no "Hey"s and "WOOOOOO"s but hey, compared to what he has been giving us the last several weeks, I will take it! The mic stand mishap was HILARIOUS!!! I had to rewind it and watch it again. I was laughing so loud my 3 year old son from the other room was yelling at me to be quiet! I just could not help myself.
As for the others... for the FIRTST time I was not impressed with Chris. And Paris and Kelly did not thrill me either. I thought that Ace and Kathrine (minus a few missed notes) were amazing. I could do without Bucky.... PERIOD. Elliott was pretty good but I think he could have done much better. I completely disagreed with most of what the judges had to say to them. I am interested in seeing how this will go down tonight.

Yeah, Chris really picked the wrong song ... he could have blown everyone else away if he had chosen something that the audience was familiar with. It's interesting that two other performers changed their song choices, and so we didn't hear "We Are The Champions", which I think Chris could have done a great job on.

It also pointed out how hard it is to do a good job on a Queen song. I never liked Suzie McNeil (it came as no surprise to find out she came from an Abba tribute band), but in retrospect her"Bohemian Rhapsody." was much better than anything we heard last night.

I have to agree with all that you have said wendy. I too thought and told my hubby that Chris should sing We Are The Champions before the show started. And yes, Kelly's version of Bohemian did not touch Suzie's but, I am proud of her for attempting it and she did far better than I could do
