I really, really got spoiled watching RS.....it puts AI to shame. Does anyone else think AI is cheesy??
It's sad for Chris that he didn't win - he wanted it so very badly. But, like Marty, I believe he dodged a bullet. He now won't be tagged "the American Idol winner." He has much bigger fish to fry!
The rest of 'em? I honestly don't care who wins and won't be buying their album.

I agree, it was a shock! I thought Chris was going all the way! I agree he will end up okay, just like Marty. Katherine is 17, she can do anything she wants! I think she has a beautiful voice, but I prefer to be entertained, my vote is for Taylor!!!!

I have barely paid attention to Idol this season, because after Rock Star I realized that I’m just not interested in ballad singers. I liked Chris, but I think he will be better off fronting a band. I hope they find one for him.

Apparently Chris has been asked by a band called "Fuel" to be their lead singer. He sang their song "Hemorrhage" during the show. I am not a big fan of AI and only started watching with this show and was not impressed by any of the singers, tho I liked Ace and Chris. I doubt I will watch anymore because I don't care who wins....besides I can read here for who wins......I am waiting (impatiently) for the next Rockstar to begin in July.

I agree. Last year I wanted Bo to win, only to realize that this is a "pop" contest and I keep rooting for the rockers! I was shocked that Chris went, but now that I've had a day to digest it, and after considering all the possibilities he has now, I'm okay with it. Of course, there's really no reason for me to keep watching. Although Taylor is entertaining.
It's funny to me how none of the contestants, on any reality singing competition I have watched has ever affected me like Marty. Talk about "wow" factor. No one can touch his star quality.
Looking forward to the next season of Rockstar as well.

AI is sooooooo awful to watch --that terrible band with lots of strings and saccharine arrangements, bizarre theme weeks and those truly cringe-worthy group songs. ugh. My daughter tells me that when AI is on I always make a face and it's causing wrinkles. These are now called Idol Lines in my house. Last night was funny tho. I just looked at my daughter and said, "would you buy a record from any of these people?"

I can't believe Chris got voted off! He was by far the most talented person there. But oh well, he will for sure get his own record deal or join a band. It will probably have worked out for the best. I really dont care who wins now either. I am kind of rooting for Elliot though. Hes not too bad.

I don't watch AI, but I've heard a few Fuel songs. I wonder if Hemorrhage was one of them. I thought they disappeared a long time ago.

I heard the same info on Howard Stern yesterday that Chris was asked by fuel to be the new singer. I guess we will see if it happens or not.

I have been an avid watcher of AI since season 3 with Fantasia. So far the best season was last season with Bo, Constantine and Carrie. This season cannot even compare. This season is not even about who is the better singer...if it was Mandesa, Kelly and Chris would still be there. I guess now my only wish is for Elliot not to win...sorry he has yet to win me over. I do think that with the exception of maybe Melissa and Kevin, all of the other contestants will be ok career wise. I am worried that without winning AI, Taylor may also struggle. Taylor really doesn't fit into any genre...so it's difficult to say how he'll be after AI...but he is one of my favorites, so I'm pulling for him!

Pretty interesting that all these stories are coming out now how Chris D. had tried out for Rock Star: INXS last year and didn't make it.......
I didn't know that!

The rumors over on the idol board are flying about Chris. Why they "let him go" early because he has a major record deal in the works. Whether it is Fuel or not, don't know. But they are also saying that his band "Absent Element" got a record deal. Who knows what to believe. I'd prefer to see him with his old band. Hope this is what's happening. I just ordered my Absent Element t-shirt yesterday! And their website is totally different now and new. So I hope Taylor wins A.I. now! Go Taylor!!

Anybody know what the 'theme' for tonights AI is?
I'm still mad that Chris is gone, but since Hubby is a Taylor fan, I gotta support him now.
Just wondering...

Anybody know what the 'theme' for tonights AI is? Earlier today, one of the gossip pages (...not that I ever read the gossip pages ) posted two of the three songs they are supposed to sing tonight. I guess they choose their own song for the third. Taylor HicksClive Davis' Choice: Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen Randy Jackons's Choice: You are So Beautiful to Me by Joe Cocker Katharine McPheeClive Davis' Choice: I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly Simon Cowell's Choice: Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz Elliott YaminClive Davis' Choice: Open Arms by Journey Paula Abdul's Choice: What You Won't Do For Love by Bobby Caldwell I'm already laughing at a couple of the song choices.

Taylor kicked butt tonight. If only Chris was still around to give him some competition. I don't think he really got any from Kat or Elliott, even though Kat did a good job with Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

I have to agree with Ceejee
Everyone on the radio seems to think that Kat is going home tonight.
I can't imagine that the final 2 would be Elliott and Taylor
Personally, I think Elliott should have been gone a long time ago.
No offense to any Elliott fans...
