Hello, all!
I didn't fall off the face of the earth. Real life just got really complicated. Here's a short summary: My mom had an hemorrhagic stroke and a brain aneurysm in January 2005. She suffered brain damage from them. She is physically okay, but not mentally. She has to live in a nursing home so she can be supervised 24 hours a day. My father, her ex-husband, is an abusive, sadistic person. We kept her location a secret from him, but he recently found out where she's at. He has threatened her life several times before. We're worried about what he will do to her. He has done very violent things in the past.
We're trying to relocate her to another place, but it takes time. We've been taking shifts staying with her, guarding her. I usually stay with her from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. I live 2 hours away from her nursing home, so it's all-day effort. I leave when the kids get on the bus and get home right before they do. The evenings are crammed full with trying to keep up with chores and helping my boys with their schoolwork.
I've fallen way behind in my street teaming. I've not forgotten all the little projects I had going on or the people I've promised to send things to. I will get it all done. Hopefully, I will be able to catch up this week.
I want to thank, Erin and Andy for the bumper stickers and buttons they sent. I got those the other day in the mail and it reminded me that my Hammerhead family was still here for me. It really brightened a day that would have just been another sad one.
I don't normally bring my private life to the forums, but I felt like I owed some explanations. I'm going to try to catch up tonight. My PM box is crammed full! lol
