Walk the Line...

I thought the same about walk the Line. . . good, but not fantastic.
i don't think I've seen a movine in a long time that blew me away...hmmm...Looking forward to the release of Brokeback Mountain...wanna see Crash too

I had a different view of Walk the Line. Any movie I hear is great usually is a dissapointment for me 'cause it doesn't live up to expectations. I thought the movie was good because I couldn't stop thinking about his love for June and how it drove him mad. I also thought the acting was great but than again I'm a big fan Joaquinn.

Crash was great! It's oscar win was well deserved. It's a movie that keeps you thinking. I love any movie or book that opens your mind.

I loved Walk The Line. We made a country theme date for my birthday back in November... went to Texas Road House for dinner before the movie.

I wasn't a big fan of Reese or Joaquin so I wasn't sure how much I'd like it. But I ended up loving it and am fans of them both now.

On that same note, we just rented Cold Mountain finally this weekend, and it was awesome too. I'm behind the time on that one, but it was better than I thought too. I know it got alot of awards but I still didn't think I would like the story line - all sappy and stuff. But it was good.

I'm a huge fan of Joaquin Phoenix so I really loved the movie...I may not have like it as much, however, if someone else was playing the role. Crash on the other hand really blew me away. It was excellent, well deserving of the oscar!

I am going to watch that tonight, so I will post after I watch it. Heard pretty much already these same opinions. I hope its good, but we will see. I think Joaquin is hot!

I thought I would not like it too much since I am not a Johnny Cash fan. But I am a fan of Joaquin Phoenix and an even bigger fan on Reese Witherspoon so that is why I went to see it. I adore this movie!!

luvinthedrummers15 - I felt the same as you. Glad I saw it, but disappointed. The acting was good and the story was good. I just felt it was slow moving.

I'm glad that most of you liked it, but i stick with my opinion. I watched the movie again, and it just didn't get better for me. When I first watched it i was a little distracted at some parts, that's why I wanted to watch it again. I also wanted to because I read your posts and saw how highly you thought of it. But I also noticed one more flaw...the scenes were sort of jumpy and it got a little confusing. But I really loved the actors and the music. another movie that I saw recently was Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I'm kind of mad at Brad Pitt right now, but I saw it anyways. I have to admit, it was pretty good. I wasn't only action, but it was funny as well, so i recommend this movie to you guys! If you see it, post it and let me no how you liked it!

I LOVED Walk the Line.. and am sorry that others thought it negative.. but I thought it was truly amazing! Granted, I am in LOVE with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese kicks a@@... but I just thought it was so great. And now I own it so I can watch it whenever I want! YES!!!

But honestly, I love the love story in it and the fact that true love can exist between real people and not just "in the movies" because it did between Johnny & June!

I could have easily written your post as mine as I feel exactly the same way Love the movie (and I'm very hard to please when it comes to movies), LOVE Joaquin and own the DVD!

BTW, if you have On Demand, there is a Walk the Line folder in the Movies section that contains performances, some of which are not in the movie

Hey have any of you Joaquin fans have seen the movie Quills? If you ever thought he was hot before, he's on fire in this movie. It's a very dark movie (love dark) and Kate Winslet is also in it. He plays a priest who has a unrequited (sp?) love interest with Winslet. Creepy and hot. Run and rent it today.

Mr & Mrs Smith - hubby rented it and I hate to admit those two two-timing rats (poor Jen ) were actually good in it. They're going to make beautiful babies.

I've been trying to get it at the library where I work but it's always checked out, so it must be REALLY hot!! ;D I may just have to buy it since it sounds pretty amazing

well i finally watched the movie, and I loved it! I LOVE romantic movies, especially ones where you can feel their feelings and everything she did for him to help him with his "problem". JUst amazing. I wish it would not have ended and kept going. You could just see and tell his love for her. Amazing.
