Say you and a friend were going to HammerJam 2006 and it was going to cost you $1000 for the trip. For the flight, and hotel for 4 nights for the two of you. Now a third friend decides that they want to go, too. But to add them the trip would now cost a total of $1300, not $1500. Do you charge the third person, $300 or $434?
Just trying to getting opinions since I have a similar situation...

Each person should pay 1/3rd or $434.... The ones that had already paid in $500 gets to split the $134 savings generated by allowing number 3 to tag along.
That is my opinion..... I really don't see how one person could pay less than the others unless they are having to sleep on a couch or floor or something.....

i'm with Cindy on that. keep it equal and save yourself any headaches later. And anyone who backs out at the last minute should also pay their share so no one is out of pocket.
tada, there you have my 2cents; if only you could put them toward Hammerjam expenses!
