We haven't done this since the board started. We have so many new members I thought I'd again start the thread.
I own my own business retailing/wholesaling craft supplies over the Internet. I started in my garage in 2000, now I'm in a 12,000 sq. foot warehouse and ship orders all over the world.
What do you do?

I'm the Reservations Manager for a line of 10 luxury boutique hotel and resorts. (Suzie McNeil has even partied in the hotel bar at our Santa Monica property!) The hotels are very high profile and attract a lot of cool clientele, including celebs, musicans, etc. It's so much fun, but yet a very high-stress job. I love it!!
Amy, that is unbelievable about your business. You must have worked insanely hard to get where you are today. Props, sister.
Jan, I know what you must be going through. My best friend's daughter is terrminally ill and has been in a wheelchair all her life. Her strength amazes me to no end. (as does yours!)

I'm a hypnotherapist. I work primarily in the areas of stress management, life balance (finding out who you want to be and doing it) and coping with illness. (I haven't made anyone quack like a duck yet!) I also am co-owner of a company that provides staff development workshops for corporations (stress, goals, change etc.)
Jan--bless you. You and your family are in my prayers.

I used to work in a intermediate care home as a recreation therapist. I did the activities with the seniors. I left my job due to cut back in health care, it was also not worth having my 3 kids in daycare. I am now a stay at home mom. My son is now 10 and my girls are 8 and 5. My youngest girl has special needs. She has a severe speech delay and we just recently found out that she has a seizure disorder. She is on medication now.She keeps me very busy with all the different appointments, speech therapy, occupational therapy, hearing test, etc, etc. Jan, my thoughts are with you and your family. Amy, maybe when I do go back to work, I can get some craft supplies from you. Do you have a site I can look at??? PM me

I am an engineer/technical operator at a CBS TV station where I work the 3PM-midnight shift (yes, I got paid to watch Marty on "Rockstar"!). I began my career in broadcasting in 1971 (way before many of you were born ) at a radio station in San Francisco. In 1973 I switched to a CBS TV station doing misc office type jobs. Eventually I began working on a show called "Evening Magazine" which premiered in San Francisco and became syndicated as the "PM Magazine" show airing all over the US. In 1981, I transferred to a TV station on the East coast where I now do several different jobs in the broadcast operations/engineering dept (my favorite is running the robotic studio cameras for the nightly newscasts). I love my job...except on the bad days when the computers fail!

Dude! Mad For Marty, I've got four kids too! I thought I was the only one crazy enough to have four.
I used to be a teacher at an alternative school, but now I stay at home with the kids. My boys are 11, 9, and 4 1/2. My girl just turned 3. She is spoiled rotten too. She loves princess dresses and all that, but she loves to run with boys too. Wherever you find her best buddy Will (4 1/2), you'll find her.

I work at University of Missouri. I take tuition payments from the students and hand out their financial aid refund checks. It is very low key compared to what I did a couple of years ago. I was a toy store manager and trainer for the company. I loved it! But things changed and I needed a job with set hours so I could chauffer my daughter to all of her activities. Voila! A new job that allows me to spend most of my time on the boards. I couldn't have asked for more!!! LOL!!!

I too am a Mom with a special needs child. I usually feel really alone in that respect, but seem to not be the case here. My son is 15 and has a dx of Asperger's Syndrome. To pay the bills I'm a reservations sales and service rep for an airline (what i really do is manually exchange tickets.)

I work in corrections, I supervise people serving community sentences ordered by the Court/Parole. I love my job, but really it just pays for the important things, like everything my two little girls (1 & 2) need/want.

I'm a high school student, and thats about it lol, I'm a music & art junkie on my free time though if that counts for anything. I'm going into my senior year so I'm going to have even more of a hectic life coming up. I want to major in art once I get into college though so that's what I'm looking forward to.

I am co-owner of a web design firm. I sit in front of a computer all day at work and most workdays is 10+ hours. I love my business and my job....and am online nearly all of those 10+ hours at work. But some nights when I come home, I just don't even want to turn on a computer if you know what I mean.
