I have cingular now....it is doing just fine. I had T-mobile before but in my area, it had a lot of drop out near the beach areas.
Personally, I think cell phone are the ruination of civilization as we know it.....but I know not everyone feels that way. Yep, thats me, a neo-luddite....not about computers but about cell phones. My big gripe with them is with the users actually and not the devices or technology. People seem to be lobotomized and all their manners removed when attached to a cell phone.

I'd have to agree with you Cindy on the manners part. My mom was in the hospital over mothers day and I hear this guy using all sorts of foul language and talking really loud--telling his girlfriend or wife that he wasn't having a bleeping affair and what makes her think he was bleeping around. I go out in the hallway and here this guy is standing the hallway of the cancer and critical care ward talking on his cell. There were so many things wrong there--not supposed use cell phones in that area--airing his dirty laundry etc. Thank goodness my 84 year old mother was out of it enough at the time that she didn't hear the conversation! Then there's the blue tooth thing where you start to feel like everyone is crazy talking to themselves and then you realize they are on the phone! I also do enjoy the safety and convenience of the phone and I'm sure I've ticked someone off somewhere with one of my calls. But I have to say I've never had a swearing argument in a hospital! I like my cell phone service--I'm with Cingular too but it really is an area thing. My sister in Illinois doesn't get good reception with Cingular. When I'm there I still have to roam to get service.

I used to have Sprint, but the reception was poor. I've had Cingular for about 5 years and have been extremely happy! Very few dropped calls and very few areas where reception is bad.

Thanks for the feedback about the cellular service. I have Cingular and for a long while my service has been getting gradually worse every day. Used to be I could stand in certain parts of my house and I would get service plus definitely service outside. Then, No service anywhere within my house, my neighborhood...LOL....when I leave my neighborhood then I get service. Now of course, I am in roam constantly. They said they are not charging me roaming fees but it took 25 mins. to get through to customer service and I called T-Mobile just to find out info. and it took a minute. They say they have upgraded software and now my phone is outdated. It is only two years old. Very frustrated here.....Thanks again for the help with sharing your experieces about which carrier you are happy with. LOL....don't get me even started with how funny some people look with a "Star Trek" looking headset on walking around in social situations.

Isa -- I had similar problems with Cingular. If you don’t want to get tied to a contract, I’d recommend Virgin Mobile. I’ve had it for 2 years and haven’t had any problems. www.virginmobileusa.com/
