Hiya Nancy My Dad is doing wonderfully, thank you for asking He is still recovering, but he can eat pretty much whatever he like's and is starting to go out for short periods of time now that he is feeling stronger. Can't say much about the mood swings he still gets all the time... kinda like walking on egg shells. One day he is all happy go lucky guy and the next he is all pissy... those days are the days that you just roll the eyes and walk away from the fight. But most of the brunt of it is him just being snide with my Mom. Anyway, I figure we are just lucky to have him around... so we can deal with the mood swings. Hopefully, it is just because he is home all the time and really just needs to get well enough to go out fishing or something with his friends for a while. Men do need their own space sometimes... Prayers and thoughts go out to all those that need them.... Steph

Excellent news Star I guess the mood swings are down to frustration or the drugs. (I wish I had such an excuse! ) Huge hugs to anyone that needs them - I have plenty to go round!

Star - thanks for the update on your dad! I guess he MUST be doing better if he's well enough to get stir-crazy! Please remember my bud Harriet who had emergency appendectomy this week. Also Susan and her family as Susan enters the final stages of dying from cancer. To update y'all - Harriet is doing well! The appendix hadn't ruptured, though it had started leaking. So she was on antibiotics. Still recovrering, but back at work and being her fine sassy self. Susan died from her cancer. So she is out of her pain. It'll be rough for the family for a long time, so please continue to keep them in prayers.

For those of you that are not in CA, there is a terrible fire in So. Cal that has taken many homes and the lives of two fireman. Cal Fire and the Dept. of Forestry are fighting winds and fire in terrible terrain, in the heat for days at a time. Please keep them and the brave men that lost their lives and their families in your prayers!

Those fires have been reported Janell - It all looks terrifying to me.
Key - good to hear about Harriet, but sorry to hear about Susan. Her poor family.

Key, my sympathies to Susan's family. Have you told them about the song "Heavy Crown"? It is so true to what family members feel, that it really touches my heart. They may find the same thing. I wish Harriet a speedy recovery!
Janell, the fires are scary! I have friends out there. I'm praying for everyone's safety, including the firefighters. I hope the weather will cooperate to help with their efforts.

Sending prayers out to all those that need them as well. The fires here in Cali are really bad. We have had a heat wave too that isn't making it any easier for the firefighters to deal with. Falling ash and orange skies at dawn and sunset... sad and scary. Feel bad for those that have lost their homes and their lives.
I live at a distance from the fire, but can see all the clouds of smoke clearly. It looks like a mushroom cloud that reaches into the sky forever. My brother picked up a friend in Pasadena and he said that where his friends house was located that the flames from the fires could clearly be seen.
Hopefully they can get everything back in control soon....

My condolences go out to Susan's family and friends. I am sorry that she is no longer with us here on Earth. May God receive her and bless her soul... and may he allow her to find peace within his kingdom. Amen.

Re posting this for those that may not see my poetry thread....Hugs.
Well it is time to say goodbye....I know this may be a shock but I have decided to re focus my life a bit. So that means that I am not going to be around the boards for a while. I just need a break and some time to get my life in order. And before anyone jumps to conclusions....noooo nothing is wrong. In fact things have never been better. I just need to make a change and this is one I have to make:)
If anyone needs me find feel free to look me up on FB. I took down my Myspace page except for those few that I talk to all the time or are hard for me to get a hold of otherwise. Streamlining my life on my internet stuff too...lol
Big Hugs to all my family on here... this is not goodbye forever. You know where to find me... but this is something that I have to do so wish me good luck building my roads and making my path.
Steph
