For a year I had a very special high school student work for me at my business. He's a good kid....Travis. Travis worked after school and on weekends...and full-time during holidays and over the summer. Travis graduated high school and immediately went into boot camp for the Marines. He did well, graduated, and now has been training for the last year. Travis is one of the best kids I've ever met - he's gracious, generous, well-mannered, kind...just salt of the earth.
Last week Travis was sent on a 7 month tour duty to Iraq. He is stationed in Falliuja. It would thrill him to get cards or goodies from friendly folks. If you have the time and would like to send something, or just simply write a letter or send a card I know he'd love it.
Here is his address:
LCPL OXENDINE RT 2/8 H&S CO MT UNIT 73225 FPO AE 09509-3225
Thank you!

This is so special Amy. I'll also have the kids make something special for him. Will keep him in my prayers, and here's wishing him safety and a fast return home.....Thanks....Nancy

FYI, for everyone, if you want to send a little care package, you can get one of the post office's flat rate boxes (they're not too big, but big enough for granola bars, magazines, pop tarts, etc), and ship whatever you can fit into the box for just $8.10. You'll have to fill out a customs form, but the postal worker can help you with that.

Just found this thread... What a nice thought to send a note reminding someone that they are being thought of at home
