Ok, a bit of a history here and the reasonings behind why I'm starting this in the first place...... My DG started it with a warm heart and just her generous way of sharing herself and wanting to make the world a happier place and safer place....She wanted to cheer me up, and IT WORKED....Along with our daily talks, the first and foremost thing would be OUR "daily devotionals" to one another. Something up lifting, something positive, something to think about..... When DG went to the Moon, she left My Doc in charge of my daily devotionals, and they were a BLAST to say the least....I love ya My Doc......Then Maw Monster joined in the fun, and added the best twist of the summer....."Daily Quotes"...Some were funny, some were sad, some were inspirational.....Just something to look forward to in the morning, and to discuss.....Other than how hot Dino is...... That's what I'm wanting to start here....For the one's of us that like either Quotes, Scriptures, Positive Thoughts, Good Energy, what ever anyone wants to call it....Make this the place to start your day on a GOOD note..... Post your Quote for the Day:....Then explain SHORTLY what it means to ya in a sentence or two.....I think this may help more people, since it's helped me and inspired me to be more positive and loving.....Thanks.....NANCY......

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer. Ok, I'm starting this one with what Maw Monster sent me this morning..... My interpretation:....Live life the best ya can, no matter what is on your mind, unanswered questions and all, just LIVE LIFE..... Nancy

Thank You by: Rich DeVos, Source Unknown Years ago I gave a speech called "Powerful Phrases for Positive People." These are very simple -- but powerful -- phrases that we all like to hear: "I'm proud of you." "I believe in you." "I trust you." "I love you." "You can do it." We all should focus on another one of these powerful phrases, in particular: "I thank you." We can never wear out that phrase. It should always be on the tip of our tongue if we are truly grateful to others who help us each day and to God who has richly blessed us with more abundance and freedom than any country in history. I choose this positive thought for today because with everything that goes on in the world today, we need to treasure the friends and family we have. And I am going to dedicate this to Amy and Cindy for all the joy and love they have brought into this site for the 2,000 + fans who like me love LH, and now have a place to come and express this love. Thank you *hats off* Janet

"We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."
E. M Forster
Just some food for thought....

"Love is where you find it. I think it is foolish to go looking for it, and I think it can often be poisonous." ~Kurt Vonnegut Jr. An example of how what is true, is often what people don't want to think about.

"Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken." -Frank Herbert The Dune series are my favorite books! I have had that quote, the "I will bend like a reed in the wind" quote, and the Litany Against Fear as my signatures.. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

"Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome."--Isaac Asimov
Not the most uplifting quote in the world, which is what you've come to expect from me, but this pretty much sums up my view on life.

Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness. - Mother Teresa Hey, I found one I liked today....In honor of My DG's return home....Nancy

For all the wonderful Moms a quote from of all people Phyllis Diller. "Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing."
And another by Jill Briscoe. "There is an art of leaving things undone so that the greater thing can be done."

Quote by Marty Casey at the beginning of 2006 (diary post??) "I want everyone to make 2006 the greatest year of their lives. It is monumentally important to head into the year with a game plan. Resolutions of renewed focus on our lives. If we are happy then we will be able to push others around us into a positive light. We can build space for the things that we want to happen in 2006 and that way, when they come our way, we have room for them and nothing passes us by. What we manifest in our heads we can make happen. No more waiting for something to happen, now it's time to work for what we want. It comes easier than you think. I want all of us to succeed this year. Let's make it happen. "

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

"That which does not kill us, makes us stronger!" ~~Nitsche
Another goodie is "The universe tends to unfold as it should", which is similar to "What goes around comes around".

"Time you enjoyed wasting is not time wasted." T.S. Eliot Outsiders might say we're wasting our time posting on this message board and following this band, but I beleive otherwise.

Hey oceancat46, I love that Marty quote. I actually printed it out awhile back and use it for inspiration!
