To every thing, turn, turn, turn There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time to every purpose under heaven A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep To everything, turn, turn, turn There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time to every purpose under heaven A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones A time to gather stones together To everything, turn, turn, turn There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time to every purpose under heaven A time of love, a time of hate A time of war, a time of peace A time you may embrace A time to refrain from embracing To everything, turn, turn, turn There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time to every purpose under heaven A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time to love, a time to hate A time for peace, I swear it's not too late
As I've told a couple of you, my mom is terminally ill -- this has always been an important song for us -
time to forgive - love - accept - let go

". . .have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer."
Rainer Maria Rilke, 1903 in Letters to a Young Poet

CJ - your post prompts me to share my favorite quote that I have on my refrigerator:
May you ask the hard questions - And may you receive gentle answers.

From Phil. 4 4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I just found this in the news paper this morning, maybe someone here can relate. This is a quote from Liz Langley, in this commentary she is talking about being ridiculed by her friends for saying she has a "big crush" on a reality TV star. Can you imagine? This is what she said. "Look: It's OK to be made happy by the beauty of things you'll never have. There are some flowers you get to pick and some you leave in the garden for somebody else; we're supposed to learn that as little kids. Besides, so many people are so awful that it's a joy to celebrate the sweet, admirable and yes, I'll say it, fabulous qualities that anyone possesses. The world is such a swamp of negatives: Thank God for people who stand out for the right reasons."

There's something so amazing about music; it can transform the dullest of environments into beautiful places. Put it on, hear it out, look around, revel in the moment. Here lie the beauty and clarity that get you through your day. Tristan Prettyman

Thanks DG and Nancy for your scripture post over the last few days. I am very down and sad at the hard times me and hubby are going through. He lost his job in March and me in April and no work for us yet. Our pensions are almost used up and they cut off the phone he was using for job contacts. He may have missed 2 call backs today and Qwest wouldn't give us another 2 days to come up with some money . We feel alone right now and are hanging on but getting real down about the future. Keep the verses coming......please Love ya both, Jilly

Ditto on what Nancy said Jilly. I usually just send mine directly to Nancy, but I'll try to put them here.
