There's got to be something more to the riddle - do do do - and yes it do!
(hee hee) - fits very well with the crazy ass few days I've had!!!

Do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and you Father knows you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
Luke 12:29-31

It's not always easy to smile and be nice, When we are called to sacrifice.
It's not always easy to Put others first, Especially when tired an, feeling our worst.
It's not always easy to do the Father's will, It wasn't so easy to climb Calvary's hill.
We are His children, should learn to obey; Not seeking our own but seeking His way.
It's not always easy to fight the good fight. But it is always good and it is always right!

I love this thread...
"Life is too important to take seriously." --Oscar Wilde
I dunno, everytime I read this one. It makes the day just a little bit better and more worthwhile.

Here's two more then I'm done for the day, both are by Viggo Mortensen.
"You don't have to make something that people call art. Living is an artistic activity, there is an art to getting through the day."
"There's no excuse to be bored. Sad, yes. Angry, yes. Depressed, yes. Crazy, yes. But there's no excuse for boredom, ever."

One of my favorites from Anais Nin:
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."

Friends are like stars. You can't always see them, but they are always there.

Z., I really like that one too!
I've been "holding on" to this one for awhile:
"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words." Romans 8:26 (RSV)
It's comforting to me to think that even when I can't put into words, because of the depth of emotion or sorrow or whatever, what I desire, that I always have help.

That verse makes me happy. "Spirit. In every language of all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It it the hero's strength, the mother's resilience, and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away. This I must believe." --Drizzt Do'Urden I just love this quote. It makes me feel amazing everytime I read it.

Z & A, I really like those quotes. Thanks so much for posting them.
Here's mine for today:
God is a God not of disorder but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33
I'm trying to hold on to that one too as I look at the chaos that is my household/life and the efforts I am making to try to put things in order. In order, and in peace.

People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain."---Jim Morrison.

A, I really love your quotes, especially the one on pain. Key love Isaiah.

Thanks, Z.
This is part of the song World of Hurt by Drive-by Truckers:
... No, it's a wonderful world, if you can put aside the sadness And hang on to every ounce of beauty upon you Better take the time to know it there ain't no way around it If you feel anything at all
Gonna be a world of hurt / Gonna be a world of hurt / Gonna be a world of hurt
So if what you have is working for you, or you think that it can stand a reasonable chance, and whatever's broken seems fixable and nothing's beyond repair If you still think about each other and smile before you remember how screwed up it's gotten or maybe dream of a time less rotten Remember, it ain't too late to take a deep breath and throw yourself into it with everything you got
It's great to be alive
...
In relationships, in anything, I think there is a lot to the "throw yourself into it with everything you got."
