Folks A couple of pages back a fellow Hammerhead asked for our votes in the Chefs.com recipe contest. I know who this Hammerhead is and she is a good person. Please go vote for her recipe if you can. We want a fellow Hammerhead to win, right? Here is what you do. Go to www.chefs.com If you don't already have a login there, click on Sign-up....create a member account. Then once you are all logged in click on the Tab at the top that says Contest. Then when the page comes up, click on the banner/button at the top that says Click here to vote and enter sweepstakes. This takes you to a list of the entries. Look for Granny Hazel's Chocolate Creme Pie by Genie Lubbock, TX . Please vote for this. Thank you! Done! I had been doing this daily - but with the holidays it slipped my mind! Thanks for the remind, Cindy! Peace.

I want to try that lemoncello recipe. It sounds o yum. Actually this whole thread is all about the yummy.
ETA: I also get a lot of recipes from allrecipes, very good site.

Kes I just went to cooks.com and typed in easy Red Velvet cake and got 9 recipes. They look easy but we may have differing ideas of easy. Easy for me is going to Walmart or Albertsons bakery and pick one up..heehehe

Jilly thanks for posting the name of that site. That will come in handy when you can't find a recipe you are looking for or just to try new recipes.

Chewy Chocolate Bars
1 pkg (300 grams = approx 11 ounces) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 1 can (300 ML = just over 10 ounces ) Low Fat or Regular Sweetened Condensed Milk (I usually use Eagle Brand) 3/4 cup of butter, softened 1 & 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 & 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup rolled oats 1/2 tsp salt
Melt chocolate chips with Sweetened Condensed Milk Cool. Cream butter and brown sugar until light. Beat in eggs. Blend in flour, rolled oats and salt. Spread half of mixture in greased 13 X 9" baking pan. Spread chocolate mixture evenly over base. Spread remaining dough over chocolate layer. Bake at 350 F for 30 - 35 min. Cool and cut into Bars
Make sure you only use 1/2 the mixture for the base. Both bottom and top layers will be thin. I went into a Metric conversion site for the conversion from grams and milliliters.
