Thank you Star, YC, and Jet. I am sure my secret co-writer thanks you too . It has been pointed out that the Dino songs needs a hook, and I agree. Any suggestions welcome. It may also come as we put"sound" to it. Boston

Hello all my creative friends, It is awful quiet around here of late. I know Star has been busy with her other project and HH has been dealing with tough family issues. Hope all is well on that front. And hope all is well with everyone. Rockfan is working on the Bobby song. And YC has sent me some suggestions on the Dino song. They are really good. I will post a modified version soon. We still need to find a vocalist and a bass player. Need everyone to go on a search. Ok - we have 2 Billy songs in the works. Here is the one that I have been working on with YC and some folks. I am hoping to have an mp3 file for you soon. But here are the modified lyrics based on HH request. And again there is no reason why we can't have 2 songs for any band member. Just so there is no mistake this time, this is NOT a metaphor. The idea is that Billy's guitar has a heart and soul and is singing this song to him. Honest. If I were going to write a hot song to one of the band members, trust me it would not be the married one ;D ;D ;D. (Awwww...just trying to inject a little humor). Soul Mate - lyrics by Boston and YC I’m sleeping in my lonely case Silently wait for you in the dark To feel the caress of your hands Never touched by another man I am your secret mistress Play my chords to your hearts content Amaze me with your solo This music comes to its intent Chorus Hey Billy you are my soul Hey Billy love your rockin’ roll Play, play that riff Take me, take me, take me home Big Guitar Solo (wait til you guys hear it – wow) Bridge I am your Gretsch, I am your love There is no price too high for me Play me hard to meet your need Play me right then set me free I will love you til the day I die Love those notes that take me high Fear not and don’t run from your dreams Cuz sometimes life ain’t what it seems Guitar Run out Let me know what you think. Regards, Boston ps - if I wrote the first version of this while in the caribbean and don't know what the ptuis I am doing, I cannot wait to see what Marty wrote while he was there [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG]

Guess I should also mention that I have Lyrics for my Billy song more or less completed and am working on the music. Also fleshed out lyrics for my Intro idea and am working on music for THAT, too. That's an update from the HH end.

Star...is just floating around...LOL. I haven't written much on the music front due to my other project, but I am still here if you need me. Sorry if it did not seem that way. Vocals are still in practice...no worries.

Okay, this is the first rough draft of Bobby's song that I did :-[using all the lyrics that were posted by several of you. I am not a songwriter, repeat, not a songwriter , so you may edit this thing to your heart's content. It started when he was young Jamming in a garage just to have fun They were heard by many and played all around He became the Greek God of Thunder Hammering that beat A rhythm that is such a mesmerizing feat He lays the beat out on the ground Blood brother's bass begins to pound Guitar slips in and snakes around It builds until it's Ultrasound Chorus??: Big lights, big sound Beating drums that make your heart pound Losing yourself in that sound Those sticks flow from one drum to the next Beating out that rhythm That you can only inject Hypnotic beats with no pauses drums so hard it makes you jarred Repeat Chorus........ You close your eyes and feel the rush And now you've come this far You're that thundering star

Rockfan - GOod work, thanks so much.
Ok everyone - we need a title for this song, and some new folks to work on the melody. Anyone know a drummer ? We can refine the lyrics as we work the melody.
I like it.

I like it. Boston How about something simple but effective like "Greek Thunder" or "Greek Thunder God" or similar that plays off the lyrics? I also thought about something like "DrumHammer", which is a neat play on words in a few different ways. He's a Lovehammer, he plays the drums which is the obvious side, and then the play on words is that the title describes what he does musically as well. In any of those cases or for that matter, any similar title, an interesting sound effect to throw at the very beginning would be the sound of the crack of a lightning bolt (which suggests speed as well as an "electric" feeling that describes that feeling of anticipation right at the beginning of a show) and the subsequent thunder rolling into the soundfield........and then blend that right into the beginning of the song. It's a neat little stinger that takes a couple seconds and sets the stage if the song's music contains some drumwork. With some quick drumwork at the beginning, much like "Ultrasound", the rolling thunder has a great segueway into the drum piece. Might make a really dandy start. HH

An additional thought on Bobby - we got any experts on Greek Mythology out there? While the Hammer of Odin (assuming that I got that right) is out of Norse mythology, if there is a similar symbol from Greek mythology (or perhaps, maybe there really WAS a greek god for thunder) we might be able to make use out of that. Sorta like, "the blood of <insert name of greek god/symbol here> courses through his veins" which ties into what's already written here in the thread. Might make an interesting way to make good use of the reference to Bobby being a Greek god of thunder, plus just as I work over the lyrics in my head (albeit, without knowing if anyone has any sort of musical direction for it yet) it looks like timewise it might be a little short. The basic premise looks pretty good to me, so if it does indeed run out a bit short (under three minutes, for example) the mythology thing might be a way to add a little bit in.
Just a thought or two there, author's discretion.
