Not a problem Boston. I will ask, don not worry about that. I really loved Iwo's piece and want to do it justice. My vocals are so much stronger now. I even suprised myself. I guess all the practice is really worth it.
Right now I am just hoping that HH is doing well. Prayers still go out to him and his family.

Hey !!! Hi everyone. Are we going to finish this project ?? I say, let's do it. Iwo/Star - are you going to take another cut at your Marty song. YC - let us know how you guys re doing on the Billy song. HH - we will wait for you, as long as it takes. be well. Ok - no kidding around - we need some new folks for the Dino and Bobby songs. I am not going to stand in front of those Kourelis boys and tell them we can't find anyone to sing their songs....Now fess up...who else can sing. Please...... ;D ;D THink I will PM our friend from the north to see if he can help. Boston Hey Boston, Just a quick update on the Billy song. We haven't met up for any sessions since the 7th. My husband did however share the mp3 with a friend in a local band and he has offered to work on the final mix, as well has lay some basic drum & bass tracks, so we'll see if we can make that happen as well. Hope everyone is well and working hard. I am super excited to hear the final cuts, so amazing!!!  |

YC, That is amazing. Wow. It is going to be awesome. I look forward to hearing it !!!. I also have good news about the Bobby song. I will let the person reveal themsleves, but we have someone working on melody for the Bobby song. I won't gie it up, but will say tall, dark, handsome, and hails from the north.....no guessing  Let's see if we can move this thing forward. When we are done, then we can work on how to actually give them this gift. I know some of you would go AWOL on me, if we tried to do it live. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

I for one would like to end the "mystery paticipants" game.........who all is actually in this thing anymore? It seems a little funny that as I recall it I brought up this mini-opera idea in the first place and I have very little clue as to who is involved. Then again, it may be completely irrelevant whether I know or not.
(point of clarification - THIS thread I did not start, the idea for a mini-opera predates that)

Sorry - we were just joking about the guy up north, thought everyone would get it.
Rock Opera - yes, you did mention it. I am still not sure that is how I want it to be. We are having enough challenges just with the songs. But will see how we move forward. I know you were interested in contributing an entry and IWO is interested in contributing an exit. That may be too much, and I know you wanted to do your own Rock Opera. So let's finish the songs first.

HH - big hug  Star, since we are listed together for Marty's song...what is going on with your recording track? I told you a long time ago and also pm'ed Boston, that I do not have the equipment to record multiple tracks. Are you still going to rerecord? We are running out of time here. The first version is simply bad and we would only embarrass ourselves  You've posted that you are working on some vocals; are you planning on singing your part in front of the audience? Otherwise I can only hep when you are standing by my piano and we can practice together. Two months ago I sent you a demo with two examples of singers you might benefit vocally and stylistically from, and also I explained the pitch problem along with a better sound projection. I hope you are taking everything under consideration. Time is running out, I need to know what you are planning to do. Please don't pm about, I think the other participants need to know also, thanks. |

Hello Iwo! I have no problem at all posting this on the thread. Honesty and open communication regarding everything, right?
Well, I have had the chance to get a hold of my cousin. He stated that is is very possible to do something with it, although to be honest he says that it would work best to re- record both parts. However, he is working, started taking some night classes at school, working on his music, finding time to be with his family and he doesn't have the free time to do this right now. So, he doesn't know when he will get a free moment to help out on this.
I am working on vocals...I always am. I found singing fun, but I wasn't planning on singing our part in front of a audience. Boston never mentioned that, and I get all my information off the boards these days, not in pm's.
If time is a consideration...well, I am open to Boston maybe just using her singer to help record the part over with her. I mean that is if she doesn't mind?And, if it is possible. I would hate to keep this piece from being completed...I just don't have the equipment to do it myself. That would be a very expensive investment , to buy all the equipment. I don't think anyone has that kind of money to invest, unless they are planning to invest also in thier musical talents.
I am sorry. But, that is all that I can do.

Hi Star, it's cool, I just wanted to know what we are doing. As far as another singer I was never presented with the idea, did I miss something on the boards? Boston , Star , HH, are we still recording something on one CD with our songs, or everybody is going solo? Star and HH are you going to perform live in front of the audience? I'm only arriving on late Saturday, Star - are we going to practice our piece somewhere in a hotel? Boston, are you putting remaining songs on a separate CD? I'm sorry I'm a little confused here, but time is running out and doesn't look like we work in unison here. There will be so much easier to get together and feel the music, how about 6pm my place? I can record everybody on one set of microphones  I hope Marty's not reading this, he would probably say  ...but on the other hand I don't see him either recording a song with a bunch of strangers living in a different states and never get together to rehearsal Even if the technical end will be spotless, the vibe of the musicians playing together can't easily be replace by internet wires. ...But we can always try! You lost me there Iwo....
I was talking about the singer Boston used on her piece. She has a great voice and I thought she might be able to help, if you needed another recording. Since I am stuck on my end.
I have no idea about any cd recording. That would be Boston's call.
We are not doing this song at all at the Cruise from what I know. I read back on the thread, and I know Kelly asked, but nothing happening about that. So as far as I know the 'Tribute' isn't going to be live. I think Boston stated that if anything a recording would be used?...I am not sure.
I think HH's part is with Boston...she has a singer for that. So The live Tribute performance would be her and HH, not me for that part...if it happened.
