Congratulations Aunty Helen! 9lbs sure does bring back some memories for me too Den My Brandon was that size...and his brother was a good deal heavier Helen I watched Idol last night and I have to say I was really disappointed. The only person I saw a glimmer of hope in was the guy who sang the AC/DC song. Will keep watching to see if it gets any better. I agreed with the comments the judges made of Marty...Donnie Osmond does Jimmy Hendrix ;D ;D ;D ;D. He seems so sweet, not at all suited to the rock style. I'll be interested to see him on Disco night. Glad you enjoyed the cellcert Den. The show ROCKED big time. There were only about 200 people (it was at a little golf club in a small coastal town) It was hot and sweaty and I have never heard the Grinners sound so good. I think Phil's stint in re-had has done his voice a world of good...as for me, I earned myself a two day hangover...well worth the fun ;D ;D ;D I got tickets for the final show of the tour, which happens to be in the town closest to me, 35kms away. Can't wait for that one. Dawn I'll catch up with you in the basement.

Hey everyone, Thanks for all the congrats on becoming and Aunt AGAIN! Sure makes a girl feel old when her youngest sibling is having kids Here are a couple of pics of baby, still no name yet, I think there is a big argument going on there somehow, they had a girls name picked as they were sure it was a girl so boy names are still being thrown around. This one he is only about an hour old. He and Michelle later in the day, so sweet!! OK, I'm on mare/foal watch every night from now on as it is gonna happen quite soon, Cat looks like she is gonna explode. So not much chance of quality sleep around here at present. I hope she has it before Friday as my computer is going in for updates, more memory etc and I won't have it for 4 days so I can't report in have a great day/night everyone. Love always, Helen. cheers to bub

Such lovely pics Helen poor little guy not having a name! Then again, I didn't have one for the first 10 days or so, my parents were told they couldn't have girls! Guess my mum proved them wrong there! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey all, I am early this week to wish everyone a great weekend but after tonight I won't have my computer for 4 or 5 days. Thanks to all for your kind congrats on me being an Aunt again, still he has no name. it is quite the argument going on there between 2 names apparently, I am sure there will be an outcome soon I know I have trouble naming my foals but at least I have a couple of months before the paperwork has to go in ;D ;D So when I get back on air next Tuesday if Cat hasn't had her foal I am gonna poke her with a bloody big stick till she bursts. She is past her due date and has NEVER before gone over, she has had 8 foals you know, so she knows how to have 'em. So I am on foal watch again tonight, up every 2 hours to go check her, needless to say not much sleep has been had the last few nights. OK, thats about it for me, have an awesome weekend all. Take care, Helen.

G'day all! Just got a text message from Helen. Her computer is down. Knock on wood, no hospital stays of late. Cat is still preggers. The drought has made the horses in her area faul late ( I think that is the term). Happy Anniversary Aussie Thread! Two years old on Sept 26th. jet, best wishes to Mitch on his upcoming Jr. Motorcross race. Places or not, I know you are a very proud mum. Gotta go now and get ready for 5 yr old Grandson Jack's soccer match. It should be a hoot. See yuz later Den

Hey everyone, Long time no speak!! sorry about that. Computer back and running just fine, all things up to date with much more memory for storing Marty photos!! ;D Have been back in hospital again since texting Den, only a couple of days but still most annoying that it keeps happening. Still far from well and not a happy camper in many ways. I am just about to give up on being on this earth, it just isn't worth it most days at present. The worst news and what I am extremely depressed about is that Cat (mare) has lost her Charles foal and as he is now in New Zealand I will never have another one and it has been a whole year wasted. I will be getting the vet out next week to double check but I have been around horses long enough to know what has happened. She fell pregnant when served last year and probably held the foal for around 12-16 weeks then absorbed it due to our severe drought. She has carried on with all the usual in foal signs by having a phantom pregnancy but she is now 3 weeks overdue and no way looks like she is going to have a foal. So disappointing, I have cried many a tear over this . The other problem is that Cat was a rescue and had been mistreated all her life (6 years) before I got her and she is not that easy to manage. All she knows is being served and having foals. Now I no longer have my own stallion it is impossible to send her to another stud to get her in foal as they would never catch, handle, float etc her as she is only used to me and only trusts me. When it came to serving time Mick and I did it and she trusted us completely, I don't even know how I would get her to another stud without her being extremely upset and injuring herself enroute. I don't even have a 'boy' at home to tease her to know when she is in season (on heat) to serve her. All in the too hard basket at present with my ill health. Our dog, Geordi, had a lump behind his left elbow and we got it checked at the vets, not to worry they said, only come back if it gets bigger. Well within a month it had tripled in size, he had surgery on Wednesday to have it removed, bloody cancer the vet also removed a couple of smaller lumps from his side and face, also cancer, has has many other lumps and the vets now seem to think he has it right thru him. He is nearly 12, not putting him thru anymore surgery and he will just live his days out til he is in pain and then the decision will have to be made to send him to God. Mick and I aren't looking forward to that day, same thing happened to my last dog Bella and it nearly killed me. Been quiet around here lately, doesn't look like I have missed too much. Jet, AWESOME to see another Casey (Stoner) hitting the big time. A great Aussie flying the flag in his sport and at such a young age. Aussie Thread 2 years old hey, geez, that time certainly did fly by. Finally a name for my nephew, he is named Samuel Edward, growing and filling out beautifully, going to be quite tall I think, apparently he is quite a 'chilled' baby to quote Michelle. He sleeps mostly when he should and is so far quite stress free. Ok, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I am gonna just go bury my head in the sand to stop from doing something stupid. Talk to you all later. Cheers, Helen.
