I read this quick review from a concert goer over at a non-LH board:
"They have a new CD coming out and I may have to buy it. They were pretty good and the guitar player actually plays lead which has become a rare treat in music today."
Can anyone explain what he means by "actually plays lead"? I've been wondering.....

Maybe he means that the guitar isn't a background piece in the music, but rather that it is a prominent feature.
This is an assumption don't quote me because I doubt I'm right.

The review should have read: "the Hammers were excellent -- the guitar player not only rocks, but is also a great singer!"

Thanks for the input. It just peaked my curiosity because I've never heard that phrase before. Plus, we are talking about a mostly 1 guitar band so of course he's the lead eh - guess I'm overthinking it.

If you have a link to where I could read the whole review that would maybe help clear somethings up. Also Is it possible that they have seen Marty play guitar and assumed that since he is the lead singer that he was lead guitar as well? That could be a possible explaination...

Thanks for the link! I am so tempted to post on that board but must wait till my mind stops racing around and then will be able to post something relative to the topic but still about lovehammers. LOL They are not a "new" band and they have other albums so maybe thats what should be posted as well. I want to ask the person what they meant by it cause I want to be sure. Also Did Billy see this quote? I think he would be highly flattered by such a compliment. If no one else has sent it to him I will. besides it will give me a lead in for another question I have for him.
I wont be sending the guys any messages for at least a month to give them space to grieve.

I have no idea why I became obsessed over that quote and what it means - so getting to the bottom of it will be appreciated. I haven't sent it to Billy. Let us know what you hear!

That is so awesome! Too bad they didnt have a quote from Billy at all.... you would think they would have being as it is his page. Meh, the whole set up of thier info is really good publicity. It has links to the vh1 performances and to the Lovehammers website so that is really good. Thanks for the Link!
