Yep. Easter egg is a goody. I am a huge geek about Easter Eggs.... OMG - that was adorable!! I had no idea that was on there. It took a few tries for me to actually get it, but it was definitely worth it!! Thanks Amy and Cindy for the inside info PS - why is it called an "Easter Egg?" Nevermind - I guess it's kind of self-explanatory - just never heard that term used in a video before...

I know you said you already bought it, but for what it's worth, asthmaticagnostic, I just got mine yesterday and I think you definitely won't be disappointed. The acoustic set is great for seeing Marty's (somewhat tipsy?) personality and his rapport with his bandmates and the fans. I especially enjoyed hearing him talk about what the songs are about.

I am happy I did it: I decided it was a historic document of the pre-Mark Burnett era. besides, it is kind of hard to know when the LH will tour California... (somebody told me that it is not a given that the LH will play at all the INXS shows)

I have borrowed my sisters DVD, but am going to get one for myself. There is alot of Marty Casey stuff on Ebay. Things that are not found on their website. Just type in Marty Casey or Lovehammers. Marty is popular everywhere.

Yeah, there is a killer picture from the Jessica Simpson concert I have never seen anywhere. It is way cool, but I am saving my mazuma for the music....

I have borrowed my sisters DVD, but am going to get one for myself. There is alot of Marty Casey stuff on Ebay. Things that are not found on their website. Just type in Marty Casey or Lovehammers. Marty is popular everywhere. A quick warning here.... be careful what you buy on eBay especially photowise. Many of the photos being sold over there are nothing but someone has downloaded jpegs from the Rockstar.msn.com site or the CBS site for Rockstar and then blown them up and printed them on photo paper. The 8 x10's are not sharp, the color is rather drab and the contrast is poor. SAVE YOUR MONEY! There are a few over there that actually have good photos but the majority DO NOT! Also t-shirts, calendars, memorabilia and stuff made by persons NOT affiliated with the band or the TV show for sale is also not your best buy either. It is more than likely illegal to use his/their photos or songs/videos to make a buck. I say save your money to support Marty and Lovehammers and Rock Star with the official releases of things. I would recommend using eBay though to buy the out of print CD's. That is a good source for them. Buy from the band whenever possible.... buy from retail stores carrying the official CD's and then check eBay for the CD or DVD official released when you can't find another source.

Oh the DVD is awesome. It's got a live, club feel to it and you get a special "Hammers Crib" tour of their house.
I got a note! Can't read the signature, but I'm bad with names anyways. That's my second note. Maybe if I keep buying stuff, Marty will send one. My first one was from Bobby. I can read that. So maybe this other one is dino. I'm goint to CSI handwriting department on it right away.

I agree. You guys should try to buy as many things from LH as you can so they can make as much as they can to get the funds to make us more music and, though other people are going to try to make money "making" lovehammer memoriablia, it's really not authentic, so...

I'm still patiently waiting for my DVD. I should stop reading this thread before I lose my patience. I can't wait to watch this DVD. It's probably a good thing it's taking so long to get here. I'm in the middle of midterms and I don't need the distraction.

I had a blast watching the DVD when I got it. Watching Marty getting the crowds pumped up was a treat! I especially enjoyed the "I'll take you out...just try me mother-<insert cursing>". While I know it was 'tough' Marty, I couldn't help thinking it was the most adorable thing ever! Also, the whole flirting interaction with the 'hot chick' waitress was worth buying the DVD alone. Oh yeah...and the music was great too ;D

The people who told me that this DVD wasn't worth it must be DEaf, Dumb and Blind!!! First of all, the quality is very good and you feel you're in the crowd. Second, there are several of songs from L'Strange (that keeps being my favorite) sang by Marty with his natural hair color and a heavy, heavy Vedder vibe - Dino and Billy and Bobby are fantastic live (That TRIBAL rhythm! WOW) - I don't know why the album was called L' strange, my take is that Marty seems to start every line with a "L'" sound (have you noticed? I started noticing it on his version of Take me Out). This is a band that rocks hard, sounds great and kicks Royal Butt. Also the backing vocals are piercing and sometimes more in tune than Marty's, who gives it all and sometimes ends up hoarse. He is also very personal and has a wonderful rapport with the audience, telling anecdotes, explaining how the songs were written etc...This is something that might change on the INXS tour, alas. The big bucks will come, but I doubt he will be able to address the audience (affectionately) MFs!!!! Get it, people...I learned the great lesson "Never listen to hearsay" here. This is a video to treasure.

I loved that. I think that Double Door opening number is my favorite part of the whole DVD. I watched it over and over. I loved Bobby's drumming. I also loved Marty's dancing. Is was as if he was under a spell or in a trance. Very cool.
