We have a special message to you from Marty Casey:
Well everyone, We did it. Actually you did it! The one year anniversary of martycasey.org. I believe it was September 6th, 2005 when Cindy and Amy launched this site which would eventually blow my mind when I first discovered it. I remember hearing about the site when I was sequestered in the Rockstar mansion but did not get to dig in until the days following the finale. I logged on so that I could watch my performance of "I Alone" that put me in the bottom three. I was always wondering why I got no votes for that performance. I guess it was too much screaming for the gentlemen in INXS.
I am most amazed by the relationships and connections that have been made. They started out in the virtual world with a common love of music and established themselves upon face to face meetings in cities across the country. These are REAL friendships that we have all come to rely on. I have personally never seen something so strong and authentic establish itself over a fan site. It all starts with the beautiful ladies (Cindy & Amy) that run the site. They put hours and hours of effort and creativity into giving the site a unique personality and place for us all to communicate. The Message Board moderators keep coming up with great ideas to keep everyone in tune and excited about the latest news.
I hope that the site is a positive part of your life. An exciting place to spend some time each week. I know that without this site the Lovehammers and myself would not have had half of the success. I'm praying for another great year. I continue to work hard and blow your minds with every performance. I hope that any influence I may have is a positive energy and incite you to take some risks and make good things happen for yourself.
All the best to everyone that supports martycasey.org. Thanks for a great year. Now, who's got the champagne?! It's time to celebrate!
Marty Casey
PS - Where were all of us one year ago when you discovered the site? How much have you grown over the last year? I think I have grown a lot and hopefully changed for the better.

"I hope that the site is a positive part of your life. An exciting place to spend some time each week."
Each week? Oh, Marty. If I could get it down to a week, I'd be a recovering martycasey.org addict, but I don't think that's the case. I'd go so far as to suggest there are a few enablers around here.
Thanks so much for your beautiful words and for being the catalyst for this site. No day would be complete without it.
Oh, and you didn't get 0 votes for I Alone -- I know I was texting your name like mad after that one!

Marty, 1 year...Yahoo...it IS awesome! Thanks for your words and acknowledgment of the fans...first of all, you are a true Rocker, "Rock and Roll!!" ...so Gifted...you, (& the Lovehammers) have blown us away!! And definitely agree with Chk, that "I Alone" was THE performance of peformances you did!! I downloaded it & still watch the video, (LOVED the screaming - you had it nailed!) Anyway...could go on, but, bottom line is, your artistry comes from your heart & soul... and it shows... we will be praying with you for the coming year, and look forward to hearing more Lovehammers!!![/color]

hey marty, thanks for the post and congrats to all involved. just wanted to you to know that the "I Alone" week in rs was in controversy because of voting fraud. it seemed that a certain female rocker (who most of us love), has some zealous fans (not like us of course) who used a voting bot to keep her from the bottom three, and certain people (not us of course) were changing the time zone on their computers to enable them and their friends the ability o pad the votes. personally i think it was done for drama mark burnette style, but what i think doesn't matter anyway. just wanted you to know..it wasn't your performance. it was flawless.....

==================================================================== Well, Marty, a year ago I was watching you, of course. And throughout the year I have watched you grow and flourish. Along with your music, your amazing ability to bring people together has changed my life in more ways than I could ever put into words. I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for all of us.

What a year it has been! I can't believe how much things have changed since I started watching Rockstar last summer. In all my MANY years of enjoying Rock & Roll, I never thought I would ever get to the point of considering myself a "groupie" My husband doesn't quite understand it either, but has quite willingly followed me to the 4 shows we've seen. Marty, when you were on Rockstar, I really felt that you were not just singing a cover song - as many of the other rockers did, but that you really tried to understand and get into the lyrics, and interpreted them in your own way. I Alone was definitely one of those songs. I've watched it many times and really don't understand how you ended up in the bottom 3. You have reawakened my love for Rock & Roll. For a long time, I only listened to oldies stations. Now I find myself checking out stations that play more current stuff. I still can't get into Top 40 Pop music (hopefully never will become a fan of Britney Spears ;D) - but I have come to enjoy a lot of the alternative rock that is out there. You always give more than your best when I've watched you live. You respect your fans and make sure that they always have a great time. I've seen too many other bands where they just seem to be going through the motions. I don't post that much here, but I will always be "lurking" somewhere because I love the atmosphere that all your fans have created here and at lovehammers.com. Thank you, thank you, for Lovehammers music. Lyn (muglady)

What a great message! I joined this board almost a year ago and visit it several times a day. My first performance was "I Alone" ... as soon as it was over, I got on iTunes and downloaded Live's Greatest Hits, and then went over to the RS board to find out everything could about you. That's how I eventually wound up here. It's exactly how you described it, and I know I have made friends for life through this board and through the Lovehammers. Thanks for the wild ride, and for your passion and commitment. They come through in every one of your performances.

You got 2 hours of voting from me on "I Alone". It was a riveting performance They had to be having technical issues with voting that night.

Congratulations to you Marty Casey! Thank you for being the kind of person who could inspire this website, and for having the kind of talent that inspires us all here at .org.
A crazy and wonderful year it has been for you and Lovehammers, and it has been a unique privilege to witness your growth, the band's growing popularity, the tour(s), and to be a part of mc.org. Like many others have told you, you awakened something in me that was very much asleep... You talent makes you a star...Your heart and soul, grace, tenacity, warmth, integrity, and authenticity are what makes you superstar. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon that TV show last summer. In so many ways, it changed my life.
I know that only wonderful things are ahead for you and the band. I wish for you everything you wish for yourself in the coming year. May it be the best one ever!
All my love- Lisa

I continue to work hard and blow your minds with every performance. Just in case anyone was wondering how many times Marty referred to minds being blown. One year ago... well let's just say that I had no idea... I voted my tail off for 'I Alone' too. Only those who hold you in their heart (everyone here) "got it". I think you must have skeered the teeny boppers on that one. But I know that we all loved it. P.S. I have the champagne.

All of your efforts are so appreciated -- and Cindy & Amy and all the Mods here have made this the best fan site I've ever seen!! Looking forward to another great year -- starting with my little trip from Oregon to Chicago for HammerJam CJ Oregon Coast
