The Street Team is going to start a "Spread the LOVE this Valentine's Day" campaign. If we could get Lh fans to send all their friends, mailing lists, etc. a "Spread the LOVE this Valentine's Day" e-card, with a link to the Lh site, we could get a lot of people interested in Lh. And that could translate into record sales.
So, we need your Lovehammers Valentine's Day e-card ideas. If you are a great graphics maker, then come up with some e-cards and post them here. If you can come up with the ideas, but can't translate them into graphics, post them here and maybe one of our talented graphic artists can make it happen.
NOTE: Graphics should not be wider than 600 pixels.
Time is a factor as today is January 31st, so let's get busy!

Thanks, Vicki! Also, has anyone else tried to convert "Trees" into a midi. I did and I tried a dozen different instrument selections and it does not sound good at all. I guess the album version is a little too complicated for a midi

radioclash, I love yours. It's so cute! I think the e-cards definitely need to have www.lovehammers.com, at least. I wish we could make it so that you click on the card and go to the Lh website. Well, we can make the "returnn to website" link at the bottom go to the Lh site. Ok...brainstorming ideas......... Here are some ideas for card messages that anyone is free to use on cards: "I love you...almost as much as I love my Lovehammers." "You might not be Marty, but you're mine." (aimed at boyfriends/husbands) I'd love to meet the girl who would send this one. lol "I don't want to go throught this life without you by my side..." from "Trees" by Marty Casey & Lovehammers When I think of more, I'll post them.

I want to try and remain uniform (type A coming out sorry) ;D I love the quote from "Trees" perfect not just for love bunnies either could be for a friend, relative etc...

I'll PM you the images. I didn't think to put up the my space link. I kind of ran out of room on the first card I made, since I wasn't too familiar with the process. Hopefully I'll get better with practice - lol.... I could probably come up with something better if I had the right software.

Yes, we definitely need to keep the images pretty uniform, in size and with the link we use. I think if we link to www.lovehammers.com, it might be more useful. People could hear clips of all the songs, read their diary entries, get wallpapers & icons, order their CD and merch, But the myspace link (http://www.myspace.com/lovehammers) has the "cool" factor. It's current. Would it be too much to use both? And yes, we need to have e-cards for friends or relative, not just our hotties. ;-) Another idea for a card: "MySpace, My Friends, My Lovehammers" This one could be specially aimed at MySpace users and should definitely have the myspace link.

Yeah if possible we should have both sites on the email myspace and lh.com. And on the cards as well that shouldn't be too difficult. I'm off work soon so I should be home in a couple of hours and see what you all came up with ;D

I noticed that the Lovehammers myspace page is down for "special maintenance" right now. I wonder what that means? I don't do myspace so maybe that's just their error page. I will also try to get some music in some form with the cards. Ceeje - Do you know how to set up bravenet so that anyone can use your e-card service?

Ohhh I really love that first one with the "Why have one when you could have four" then w the web site add yes like it...then we could have alternate one w. the "I dont want to go thru this life" line, site adds, with the tree motif. Or a diff pic of the guys? I love the Marty solo ones (who would've guessed ;D) but maybe for this we should keep it to band and not single him out? What do you think? Sorry this isn't making too much sense I've got to go in a minute but i wanted to take a look at these

Sorry this isn't making too much sense I've got to go in a minute but i wanted to take a look at these My thoughts about it is that the cards should appeal to the largest group of people as possible. I was also going to do individual ones for Bobby, Dino, & Billy, too - not just Marty. But that's just my opinion I am really limited b/c I'm not using any special programs, so I know many of you can do better.

If you see any graphics I used that you need let me know and I'll send you a link. Everything I used I found on the net, except for the graphic of the trees with the carved hearts.

But that's just my opinion I am really limited b/c I'm not using any special programs, so I know many of you can do better. I think it's a good idea to have cards of the different guys. Some people have their favorites. But, I think we need to try to have the same number of cards for each one. Like, if we have 4 Marty cards, we need to have 4 of Dino, Bobby, & Billy. The program I use is PaintshopPro. You can download the trial version here: www.download.com/Paint-Shop-Pro/3000-2192_4-10434071.html?tag=lst-0-1It's really good and easy to use. I also have some Paintshop brushes that will work for these cards. I've made one Lh brush myself. It's the MC & Lh text off the CD cover. I'm going to upload it somewhere and make it available for anyone who wants to use it. You can see it in the card I made: pub45.bravenet.com/postcard/pickup.php?usernum=3838003398&id=6F784B345I've also discovered that .png graphics work better than .jpg files. (I wasn't sure if the e-cards service would support .png files before, but it will.) The card above was saved as .png. This is really turning into something cool! ;D
