Magazines and Newspapers rely on reader feedback. There's always polls, letters to the editor, and sometimes the magazine just flat out asks their readers what they want to see.
If something catches your eye let everyone know about it.

USA Weekend[/u] This is the magazine included in a lot of Sunday papers. The first page is full of people's questions about their favorite celebs. Have one about Marty or the Lovehammers? E-mail whosnews@usaweekend.com Include Name, City, State AP magazine[/u] A music magazine based out of Cleveland. They're always covering bands out of Chicago. In every issue there is a section called "Admit One". It consists of a "ticket" that you fill out with the names of 3 bands that you want to see covered in the magazine. You don't even have to put your name or any contact info - just the three bands and you mail it in. www.altpress.com I've got an extra one from the Feb. 2006 issue. If anyone wants it PM me their address and I'll send it to you ASAP. I sent emails to USA Weekend, AP editors (found there contact email on the site) and Indy Star Entertainment. Hopefully they'll show some sort of interest in the Lovehammers.
As for the other one i'm not a subscriber to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. I think it's a bit scummy that you have to be a subscriber.

Just saw in the local paper that a journo has reviewed the INXS Switch album. Am gonna write to him to see if he plans on reviewing the LH album or if he knows there's an LH album in the first place. For anyone who feels like hitting a Singapore journo, his contact is: Yeow Kai Chai "Soundbites" column in The Straits Timeskaichai@sph.com.sg

Yay! Have written to the above mentioned journo - my very first journo e-mail! Hope I didn't sound too deranged. Am still working on a more formal letter plus press kit to be sent by post to another journo. IMHO the people are less likely to ignore stuff sent by snail mail. But I could be wrong

When you send your emails to the press you could add the link for listening to Trees. Here is Amy's post on the radio thread. Here's the email for my local station, 93.3 to request music: mhendrix@entercom.com I send this link along with the following message: www.sonymusic.com/artists/MartyCasey/mediaplayer/main_module.htmlMarty Casey is the lead singer for Lovehammers, a Chicago-based modern rock band. Marty was runner-up on Rock Star: INXS, Mark Burnett’s reality series centered around the search for the new lead singer for the rock band INXS. While on Rock Star, Marty introduced his original tune ”Trees” to much acclaim, prompting co-host Dave Navarro to say ”I could hear that song on the radio today.” Their debut album on Epic Records, titled Marty Casey and Lovehammers, will be released January 24, 2006 and will feature the song "Trees." Marty Casey and Lovehammers will be touring January and February 2006 as the opening act for INXS on their North American Tour, Leg One. PLEASE ADD "TREES" TO YOUR PLAY LIST! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone feel free to bombard this man with email requests.

Here are contact links for a couple of ATL local newspapers focusing on music. Creative Loafing is a free, local weekly mag featuring events in music (esp. alternative), arts, etc. and is carried in Atlanta as well as Tampa and Charlotte for those of you there. There should be a staff link on the homepage www.creativeloafing.comand then look for the music editor for your city. For Atlanta, it's: heather.kuldell@creativeloafing.comStomp & Stammer is another free, local music mag that is published monthly. They have a form for contacting them: www.stompandstammer.com/index.php?option=com_contact&Itemid=3

Thanks, brennak - those are awesome links lalalaamz - I will make an attempt at a CD review. I don't know if it will be worth publishing. Any need for a review of the Live/Raw DVD?

Along my daily travels i came across a teen mag called Chik. It has lots of alternative, indie, rock bands in it and not so many "pop princesses" in it. The Lovehammers could gain some teen fans if they were in this magazine. so heres some info. Chik Mag Editor: Luisa Browett. Email: luisa@morrisonmedia.com.au
