Calling all Hammerheads!! I needs some ideas (actually, I need some guidance) on how to street team. I'm the lone Hammerhead in this music wasteland and am desperate to Spread the LOVE! I've done a few things already. I've bought a couple of copies of the CD and sent one to my brother and gave the other one to one of my students who liked MOMM. I've sent email cards to a few other friends. I listen to MC&LH and MOMM in my classroom and keep them in the CD player so that if anyone wants to listen to music during seatwork time... I've ordered some buttons to wear and hand out. I also have a few pics of them around my desk. I just need some guidance and ideas!
Thanks!

Sounds like you're doing great already!!! I guess I'm a teamer, although a little less than others...but every little bit helps......... Visit record stores....if they dont have the cd see what they can do about it.....if they do have it...make sure it is easy for customers to see...ask the manager to change the display if you have to........ Email - radio stations, tv shows....etc......... Pass out flyers....hang 'em up...... Lots of stuff people can do....I've touched on a couple.....

Hey Miteacher.... If you can use some bumperstickers (there's 2 different ones posted in a couple other threads around here)... just pm either myself or Airjorg with your addy... we will be glad to add you to our mailing list for items.. K? We have sent them out to the Street Teams and other individuals to help "spread the love"... and if you need more buttons.. ours should be arriving next week (hopefully).. with the original LH logo style...

Hey miteacher! I agree that you're already doing a fantastic job. If you have the time, contacting your local radio station is important. Especially if you have a modern rock/active rock station - focus on that one. Try to get the program director to add "Trees" to the playlist and if it's already on there then support it and that station. Another local thing would be to check out the newspapers around you that review or write about music and see if there's a way to contact them and let them know about the band. Promo items are always handy to have on hand, if possible, like the quarter-sheet flyers, stickers, cards.... That way if you're talking about them and someone shows interest you can give them something that will help them remember the band's name and the band's website.
