All I can say is my mom rocks! Unfortunately I have to work or I would be doing this myself! She has been going to stores all over the south GA area this morning promoting the CD! Talking to people about the band and how nice they are! And of course how great the music is! She told them how we went to Chicago to see them and that we are going to LA as well JUST to see them! Let's just say she has converted lots of people! She had people who never even heard of the band or RockStarINXS buying the CD! Several stores completely have sold out of the CD and are placing orders for a rush delivery. Mom rocks! I think we should all go out and do this this week! what an inspiration I will definatly spread the word while at stores and also the reshuffling of the shelfs to thats great !! |

I moved my post from "LH Needs Promotion..." as I think it fits better here. Absolutely, because I don't think SONY (or somebody) is doing all they can to promote the CD or the LH.  I just returned from Borders in Frederick, MD (I know my CDs are on their way, but I couldn't wait and I wanted to see the store display). Well, I'll just tell you that if no one had heard about Marty Casey and Lovehammers before, they had by the time I left that store. I complained -- patiently -- that I didn't understand why new releases weren't displayed in an obvious location and in particular, why ALL new releases weren't displayed because MC & LH was nowhere to be found! I had 3 people running around. Not even a section in Pop/Rock area for LH. So, turns out there were only 2 copies sent to this store, and they were on a cart in "the back". The person said it might take him awhile to find it and I offered to help him or I could go to Best Buy, etc., but he brought them out in a minute or so. I bought them both and suggested that they re-order now. I got into a discussion about how in the world is a band supposed to sell records when they aren't even on display, especially the day of release! Anyway, I explained who Marty is to several people. Ah, yes, RS:INXS, the guy who should have won (I hear that a lot!). I find most people remember Marty, but don't know about the LH. So, now I feel bad buying both, since they won't be there for someone else, but now it will show up as "sold out" and they'll buy more. (I'm going back tomorrow to check.) I'm going to check out some more stores this evening in Rockville. But, on the most positive note of all, the CD is SO GREAT. I've been playing it on my computer but loud in my car is so much better.

I totally agree Joey! Can't be bought if it is not there! My Best Buy did not even have it listed on the computer but I found it on a cart down an aisle! I am going out now to do some more work on this! |

i just got home from best buy went to get a few more copies of the cd gave almost everyone in the store a card think i was scaring some people lol but some were cool we started talking about the guys and by the time i was done 8 or 9 of them bought a copy

All those other bands new releases are out front  and some names I haven't even heard of.  |

i made them put all of them in the front by the new cds it was funny i think they thought i was working for the band in a way i guess i was

I'm a librarian, and Sony really should have gotten a clue about the whole 'filing them under Casey' thing...
Sheesh..Everyone is going to look under the name Lovehammers...duh!
Probably there's a big meeting tonight at Best Buy headquarters to discuss why all these women suddenly showed up today, nationwide, looking for the same CDs!!!

Just back from Target, Best Buy, and Borders
Target 9.98 ea on special this week, not a bad display so I left it alone : ) Bought two, left three
Best Buy..actually wasn't Best Buy..Target was...get it? .....moved it to front of space (David Cassidy was in front of our band...sheesh) There were 5 there, 12.99 each, the store totally dead...Maine economy stinks right now..
Borders had only one at 15.99, buried in the Cs with David Cassidy...I told the guy he'd better have a whole case of Lovehammers in a couple of weeks when the band swings east, and they're going to need a big cutout of Marty at the top of the stairs, he'll be bigger than Jagger...mark my words, etc. And also they need to put it in L for Lovehammers because that's what people will look for!
The clerk (an older guy) said, "thanks for the heads-up" when I told him the fans were out in force checking the stores nationwide today and showed him my wristband. He wrote everything down...lol!!

Workin for the boys! I was only able to get to Target (sick kid in tow) They only had 1 left so I felt compelled to buy it... maybe they will double the order now that it's sold out in that store. I love the rearranging idea! Brilliant! I'm doing that tomorrow. |

Great work Sandra and gingerpyle. O.K. first I went to Best Buy checked new releases...no not there. Went to the rock section checked in the C's as someone eariler suggested...there they were...all 3 of them. So I bought 1 and moved the other 2 to the new release section top shelf right above some CD called Switch...  Next I went to Circuit City. First this guys says whatever is in the new release is all there is so I asked him if he could check in the computer to see if maybe they had it somewhere else. So he looks at their web site...guess what I was right it came out today. So now he says he will check the shipment list to see if they got it...waiting...waiting...NO they didn't even send them any...boo hiss. O.K. so now its on to Target, I am confident they will have it. First I check the new release section...no not there so I go to the rock section...no not there, finally I found them in the new artists section down near the bottom. They had 5 copies. So I bought 1 then I moved 2 to the top shelf (along with the little sign) and moved the other 2 to the new release section right beneath the RockStar INXS CD where that same Switch CD used to be. Tomorrow Wal-Mart and FYE... ;D Just doin my part for our guys. Sharon |

Stiletto is right, there is no fan like a Lovehammer fan ...
I've been posting reviews everywhere, but now I'm going to follow your example and do the CD shuffle too in every store I go to. Thanks for the ideas people!!!

My Target had them in an obscure display for new artists, not new releases. I "restocked" for them also. We need to check the positioning of the CDs in the stores--I wanted to put them at the checkout stands, but knew I couldn't get away with that!

I couldn't possibly get into town tonight to hit the stores because I had to stay here and work on posting pics.... so I did the best I could and called some of the retailiers in the area inquiring on whether they had the CD in and then giving them a sales pitch if they said they didn't. We are so damn backwards down here in the Deep South....half the losers I called today didn't have it in stock and had NO CLUE what I was talking about. I will have to go pay each one of them a visit this week and make sure they know that answer is totally UNACCEPTABLE. They need to turn off their CMT and put away their Alan Jackson/Garth Brooks crap and get with the program. It sure is hard to be a rock n roller in REDNECKVILLE.
