I'm a librarian, and Sony really should have gotten a clue about the whole 'filing them under Casey' thing... Sheesh..Everyone is going to look under the name Lovehammers...duh! Probably there's a big meeting tonight at Best Buy headquarters to discuss why all these women suddenly showed up today, nationwide, looking for the same CDs!!! ginger, didn't know you were a librarian....I always wanted to be a librarian.....I'm a substitute teacher and that is when I get my chance to be a librarian for a day..........what you said about the filing thing is dead on.

I went to Best Buy, Target and Walmart in my area this afternoon and did the CD shuffle. Walmart especially had it in a horrible location. Now they are all prominently displayed as they should be. There are two Targets in our area, so I plan to go to the other one tomorrow afternoon.

I went to Walmart and Target yesterday too and did the shuffle! That was such a great idea. I put copies in the New Releases section AND the What's Hot section.

Surely with all LOVEHAMMER fans doing the cd shuffle, they will get some great exposure!! The regular store employees just don't realize where they should be placing Lovehammers cds. Saturday i will be making the day for cd shuffling.... WE DO THIS ALL FOR LOVEHAMMERS!!!

My hubby was at the Best Buy today near our house and they were completely sold out of the CD! When I was there last Tuesday, they had a good amount of them. This is great news! Let's keep doing what we need to do to promote the Lovehammers.

When I was In Victoria on the Week end I stopped into one of the busiest records stores on Yates St. (practically everyone knows this place because they have lots of collectibles) Asked for the new Lovehammers CD and they looked at me as if "Who?". Then asked them if they had the new inxs CD. No problem they say... Gave them a little information of who they were and they said they will get some in. Left some cards with them and asked them if they would give one to anyone who was asking for the CD. Then I walked down the street to A&B Sound. Walked in as if I owned the place Asked were we're keeping the new Lovehammers CD that just came out. Quickly we went to the "New Release" section...they had about 6 CD's in a good spot. They guy I was talking to had been to the Concert in Vancouver and really enjoyed Lovehammers Finally he told me he has been a inxs fan for years. Really enjoyed the himself mentioning jd was not Michael Left some cards and he said he would hand them out to people that bought the CD. Left a happy girl ;D Wishing I had more time to just hang out and help spread the love but alas.... ferry to catch

I went to Target yesterday and there were no copies in the rack (2nd from bottom). I asked and they said they just reordered some. I asked how many. Nine or ten because it's not "high-profile."

It looks like Hong Kong and Columbus OH have the same thing in common. There are no records in the stores here either. I did yet another round today in all the stores (Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-mart...) and there isn't a copy to be found anywhere. I have yet to see one copy in stores since the record has been released. I'd love to do my part to promote the CD in stores if they actually were there. I know Columbus is not the most rocking or progressive place, but Epic or whoever needs to distribute the album should think us large enough to get a few sales. OSU makes the perfect target market. I'm amazed by the lack of logic here.

Went to my local Walmart last night after working 2nd shift. There was one copy....down at the bottom row under "The Cars". I put it on the top row...first CD in the C's. Next time I will have to take more time and ask someone in the department about their Cd. I was Valentine shopping last minute for my kids....running around like a mad woman!

I'm amazed to hear that some Walmarts etc. (like in Columbus OH) still don't have the CD! I live in a really small town, so I went to the two Walmarts in nearby not-as-small towns and they had 2 copies in each store. I moved them both up to the 'listening boxes' (I don't know what they're really called). You can scan the CD and it will play the song from the CD for the whole music area to hear. I did that a couple of times. Then, had my son go back later and do it again! LOL
Keep at it, Hammerheads!!!

Guys, I have an idea that might work better than the CD shuffle, but you'll have to tell me what you think.
Take one of the copies you have bought to best buy or whatever the music store is and get them to play it over the loud speaker.
I figure if we get the employees playing it, then the people in the store are going to hear it and maybe start asking about it. But the employees at the stores have to like it and want to play it for this to happen, am I wrong? I mean, I know they'll at least play it while you are in the store, so that would be good while you are passing out flyers, but if the store employees like it, they might just keep playing it when you are gone.
I was going to burn some CD's and do this, but my computer will NOT recognize my CD burner! (if anyone knows how to fix this tell me. I think I deleted the CD creater) in any event, I figured I'd bounce my idea off you guys while I am working on that and I'll probably just go and buy some CD's too, like you have, for the "promo" purpose.
I figured this could work at clubs and bars, too.
As a matter of fact, I wanted to see if the Atlanta Street team wanted to choose a bar or club that we would all go together like once or twice a month, for a Hammerfied night and force the DJ to play for us every time we are there.
THEN
If that club does live shows, I think we ought to start pressuring them to invite LH to perform. All cities can do this. What do you guys think? Any club/venue suggestions?
Remember to get your CD's tagged at the door so you don't get accused of anything.
