Message from Dino about Trees

Hey all...just bringing this over from the Lh boards...let's spread the word..



Dudes,

I think we all believe Trees is a great song, and radio is starting to catch on. LIke I said before, let's keep requesting, but keep the requests short and sweet.

Another thing people look at to find new music are Charts. Our album has been up there, and that helped on Itunes, etc. Well why don't we get Trees to be the #1 or Top 10 downloaded song on Itunes. How can this happen you ask? Well, it is going to cost everyone $1. I suggest that everyone pitch in $1, and download Trees from Itunes. If everyone does it, Trees will climb the singles chart, and other people will be curious to check it out, thus creating a snowball effect............ In order for this to work, EVERYONE will have to be on the same page, and start doing in on TUESDAY. Remember, don't start until Tuesday - that gives us all like 3 days to spread the word.......

I know I have no right asking people to spend $1 for this cause, so keep in mind that it is only an idea. We get so many gifts from people, I would say keep all the money you spend on gifts, and just pitch in $1.

Wow!!!!....this is really a blast from the past. I remember when Marty was on RS and we were all buying Trees like craaaaaazy at Music MSN to keep it #1. aaaaaaah, those memories.


Well, I guess I know what I'll be doing on Tuesday. iTunes....Tuesday...I'll be there!

A friend of mine in Australia wanted to know if she should wait until wednesday down there (tueday in US) to purchase Trees Does Anyone know?? I am a bit confused on it so any clarification would be helpful

maybe a why? explaination would be helpful also lol. but like i said I am seriously tired... blasted nightmare about jd.. ....

YES your friends in Australia or Asia should wait untik WEDNESDAY to download Trees from iTues if we are trying to coordinate with the North American effort. This is because we are 12 hours or more ahead of EST in the US.

I think the reason Tuesday was picked is because every Tuesday is "New Music Tuesday." That's when new albums are released, and so many people check out iTunes every Tuesday to see what's new. If they see "Trees" in the top 10 download, they'll wonder about it and check it out.

Some of us who are downloading Trees multiple times are going to burn them to CDs and give out as freebies to promote the band.

For those who have downloaded the song multiple times - Have you received a receipt for each download? I just realized that so far I have only received one receipt for 1 download from Tuesday.
