I had to post this entire song...it's from the oft mentioned (in the Holiday section) Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas...it's a beautiful song.
When the River Meets the Sea by Paul Williams
When the mountain touches the valley All the clouds are taught to fly Thus our souls shall leave this land most peacefully Though our minds be filled with questions In our hearts we'll understand When the river meets the sea
Like a flower that has blossomed In the dry and barren sand We are born and born again most gracefully Thus the winds of time shall take us With a sure and steady hand When the river meets the sea
Patience, my brothers And patience, my sons In that sweet and final hour Truth and justice will be done
Like a baby when it is sleeping In its loving mother's arms What a newborn baby dreams is a mystery But his life will find a purpose And in time he'll understand When the river meets the sea When the river meets the almighty sea

Tyler Durden: Now, a question of etiquette - as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch? This has become a sort of an inside joke in our English Philology dept. We have probably the smallest lecture rooms on the campus, so moving out of class is a bit of a challenge at times. To compensate for this, people started to quote Fight Club, which amuses our professors to no end.

Heli - one of my favourtie movies of all time. If I were to quote lines from the movie it would be most of them and my very favourite line would have to go in the 18+ thread!

"... I don't stay after dinner. Not after it begins to get dark. I leave before dark comes. We live in town. Nine miles. So there won't be anyone around if you need help. We couldn't even hear you, in the night. ... no one could. No one lives any nearer than town. No one will come any nearer than that. In the night. In the dark". - MRS. DUDLEY (the housekeeper)
From "The Haunting" made in 1963 starring Julie Harris and based on the novel "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson. This is the best ghost story ever made about a haunted house. This is the only movie that has every scared me. I first saw it when I was 8 years old and I have watched it many times since.

Joe Gillis: You're Norma Desmond. You used to be in silent pictures. You used to be big. Norma Desmond: I *am* big. It's the *pictures* that got small.

"f**k me gently with a chainsaw, do I look like Mother Theresa?" Heather Chandler (Kim Walker) to Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder) HEATHERS
"I used to think if I killed somebody I would want to go to the cemetery and apologize. That's not really what guilt is though. Guilt's a feeling you have towards people who are living. It's like everyday you're out there shaking hands, talking. But you, the guilty person, you know that it's all unreal. It's like guilt is this secret inside of you that destroys the fabric of everything, and then everything's unreal. You can't even have a life. But it's not necessary for it to destroy you. You just have to face it." Vincent (Vincent Kartheiser) Crime and Punishment in Suburbia
"You were very much in love with her. And you're still in love with her. But it amused me to make you ashamed of it. You gave up on the first person you ever loved because I threatened your reputation. Don't you get it? You're just a toy, Sebastian. A little toy I like to play with. And now you've completely blown it with her. I think it's the saddest thing I've ever heard." Katherine (Sarah Michelle Gellar) to Sebastian Cruel Intentions
