What do y'all expect from the season opener? Do you think they'll address the space/time continum stuff that was shown in last season's finale?

I believe Walt & Michael have gone "home" and will not be returning.

I just started watching it so heres what I think is going on. All these "survivors" are of the criminal element somehow having escaped the system (jail time) so they are all put on this plane and have "crashed" onto what is their Alcatraz and now the Corporation is doing sociological tests on them to see if they have evolved and can be rehabilitated. They are "lost" to society.
Is it nature or nurture?
Thats my uneducated guess

Woo hoo! so I've been waiting for the season premiere ( we got to see it on a gigantic screen on the beach last saturday but were not supposed to say anything until the actual tv premiere). I can't help but giggle through the scenes of Sawyer in the cage 'cause my mom worked at the zoo and that is where the cage scenes are filmed.

My friends and I just looked at each other and exclaimed "get out!" after they showed the compound that the others really live in. What did everyone think of the first episode??

I enjoyed the show. It moved a bit slow, but they always do. It's like they want to amp us up, ya know?

I believe this season is going to be all about "The Others" and how they fit into the Dharma Initiative. Now, how that will tie in with our castaways, I have no idea. But they're in for a bumpy ride.

I'm more eager to see what happens with Charlie and Locke. Was Desmond killed? What are the after-effects of the hatch explosion?

According to the LOST podcast this season is supposed to be about the others and the relationships between our castaways. Daniel Dae Kim said that the question of who the father of Sun's baby is will come into question also.

Hubby and I are still playing catch up since we are new to the show. I thought Jack's father was alive?? Weren't there flashbacks of him and his dad drinking at the airport bar last season?? They are obviously doing some kind of experiments on them. I am intrigued by the plot, although it is hard to follow at times. My overactive imagination loves the plot twists and turns but they also frustrate me. Good TV!! Rosie said she did Nip Tuck since its the only good show on TV . She needs to watch more TV I think Lost and CSI LV are brilliant shows with excellent writing!!

Jack's father is supposedly dead - that's why Jack was on the plane back to America. He was bringing back his father's body for a funeral and burial. However, his body was never found in the plane wreckage.

boy if you blink you miss something on this show?! Cool. I just don't remember that at all. Makes me wonder if he is in on this too now? Pulling some strings etc.

I too wondered if Jack's pop was really dead because the body was never found, but they never really showed Jack looking for it. You would figure he would look for his pop in order to give him a final resting place. hrrm. Oh, but in the 1st epi for this season Juliette did say she had a copy of his dad's autopsy. So, if he isn't dead why would she say that?? Curious I am.

I am still digging this show but it is getting confusing!! So does Jin know that his wife cheated on him? Is she pregnant by her lover?? I am so lost. I love Hot Sawyer I was all psyched that he planned that outburst but bummed to see that Ben was watching him talk to Kate the whole time.... So frustrating!! Like Sawyer I don't trust that chick that is talking to Jack at all. She is manipulative.. Cannot wait til tomorrow.

help me somebody.....when did Charlie and Echo get out of the hatch? how are they not charred to death from last seasons ending with them being chased by a ball of fire. I must have missed something again. I am confused, as usual.
I guess Lost rating are going down each week, people are getting confused and tuning out. Not me I love the mystery of it all. I cannot tolerate predictable storylines.

so now i have to rewatch the episodes online,(not obsessed).

i wouldn't worry too much about how charlie and mr. echo got out of the hatch jilly, after all the hatch imploded and desmond and locke were perfectly fine

Charlie got out of the hatch just in the nick of time. He was running out - he had to leave Eko. I guess Eko was blown out when it imploded and Locke has just now found him.

And now the Desmond mysteries begin!

Thanks Amy and Kat. You really cannot blink when you watch this show. I am looking forward to the Desmond story line. I hope they don't kill off Sawyer, I am just sick about Sawyer being tortured. I hope he ends up okay. Ben is starting to piss me off. If he is so tough why won't he take on Sawyer alone?? Argh!!! good thing its only TV huh??

So, what's the deal with Ben? He said he was "born on the island." With the thought of time travel being strongly suggested, is he really the future version of Claire's baby, Aaron?

What's going on with Desmond? Is he a time traveler? A psychic? Who is/was Desmond's girlfriend? Who is Desmond (and how did he get on the island) if he isn't one of the Others or part of the Dharma Initiative?

Why has Libby not made an appearance this season? She was woven into the lives of many characters last season, and now, nothing.

Is there a common these among the new castaways? Are they all killers?

All these questions exhaust me!

I don't know what's the deal with Desmond... why did he knew about Locke's speech when Locke haven't made that speech yet? Desmond's girlfriend is Penelope, I expected her to be on the first three episodes of the 3rd season coz she was on the season finale, but no appearance again yet.

Right....she died. But that hasn't stopped writers bringing back characters from the dead. Boone has returned several times in flashbacks. That's what I was expecting and referring to.
