SMITH stars Emmy Award winner Ray Liotta as a criminal mastermind in this drama about a close-knit crew of criminals who plot and execute high-stakes robberies. Though Bobby Stevens (Liotta) appears to be a regular family man with a nine-to-five job, he's actually an expert thief who is seeking a few last big jobs so he can finally leave the business for a comfortable, lawful lifestyle with his wife, Hope (Virginia Madsen), and their two children. While they never discuss Bobby's illegal pursuits, Hope is growing weary of turning a blind eye.

Last night me and spawn 2 was saying how this shows reminds us of my James Bond fasinations, but different, or opposite....Smith is the good bad guy and HOT HOT HOT HOT...ok...enough of the HOTS...  ;D ;D Love this show......... |

I'm liking the show too, Nancy. But my main attraction is Simon Baker, too. I like the good but bad guys. The only thing I couldn't understand is why Jeff (Simon Baker) had to kill those 2 guys on the beach in the beginning   and I'm trying to figure out Smith's wife (Virginia Madsen). Just have to keep watching it as I plan on doing especially keeping an eye on this guy  :  |

Yeah, I was sort of wondering that 2....But I think they are just trying to protray Jeff as this cold hearted -*thud worthy*- type dude....I think I got it when he kicked the cat off the bed...heeheh...like DUDE?....   That was funny. He woke up thinking "WTF". |

chk, I think this week was the first one (I hope it was anyway cause it is the first one I caught).
I was really looking forward to this starting. I have to admit I was a little let down. I know since it is the beginning there has to be some "getting to know the characters" scenes but I thought that until they go on the job, it was sssooooo sssllllooooowwwwwwww. I almost stopped watching because it was just not holding my interest. I will give it a shot though. I think it may get better as the season goes on.
I think the reason they showed Simon Baker killing those guys in the beginning is to show what they do when they aren't doing other criminal acts. Bobby apparently sells big cups, that one guy works in a mechanics shop and he has a gambling problem, the girl is a showgirl. Jeff happens to be a full time assassin I guess.
I thought the best part of the show was when Amy Smart (love her--- she stared on ELF) had to taser that woman that would not leave her alone. I for one know I would love to be able to do that when someone is getting on my nerves!
