Hi you guys, We have just finished TAR family edition here in Oz where the Linz family won. It was great that the Weavers didn't win, MAN I hated that bunch chk, BJ and Tyler coming back, AWESOME I am so excited, we will probably get it in Oz in about 3 years the way things happen here. No news of when our next season starts altho the ratings have just started up again so maybe soon. Heres hoping, Hel

Okay last night on TAR Asia, the four teams raced from Calcutta to Dubai, where they had to play nine holes of golf, find a yacht, hike an indoor snow-covered mountain or break a giant cube of ice, and find a gold merchant in the confusing souk. It was not a brilliant episode -- the challenges were not too bad, but the M&M brothers from Indonesia are always amusing. Both are always eating and are reluctant to work too hard. You just never see two guys moan more and who are so physically incapable of the challenges. And yet, they do alright. That is what makes them fun. They always work it out in the end. This week they came in last but it was the final non-elimination round. They are quite happy for it to be in Dubai, since everyone there has plenty of dosh! Two episodes left. EEK I am getting excited. xo C

Next week is TAR Asia finale - a two-hour episode, so this week it was crucial not to finish last. The four teams are in Dubai, they had to either ride camels and collect flags or use a metal detector to find a small camel figurine in the sand. Eventually they all ended up doing the camel riding. Neither task seemed too arduous, tho. Next they had a strange detour --they had to go to a giant Ferris wheel, which has 42 cars. Each car contains an envelope but only 5 have clues. They had to choose a car number, get into the car and wait for the doors close to open the envelope. So, you could be extremely lucky or unlucky, which is what happened. 1 team discussed what their lucky number was before arriving at the wheel, got into that car and found a clue. Everyone else rode for a long time. Next a road block and one team member had to eat a huge plate of cooked brains and some sort of fried bread. Yummmm. The leading team was ahead by a lot but the girl had trouble getting the food down. She finished just after the all-girl team arrived. The Hong Kong team were pretty far back but the guy, who is part Maori, scarfed down the food and they about caught up. The Indonesian brothers really lost the plot. They really lost their sense of humour and just couldn't recover. The race to the pit stop was not that compelling as teams stayed in that exact order all the way. 1) the cool Malaysian couple 2) the girl Best Friends who are so sweet to each other 3) the muscle-bound Hong Kongers 4) the Indonesian brothers who were eliminated.
The prize $ is not that big, but everyone in Asia seems to be enjoying this --lots of promos at the coffee shops, around town. The HK team has been interviewed many times in the papers but cannot reveal what the outcome was of course.
During the episode there were more previews for TAR All Stars. It definitely starts in Feb, but they haven't said the date yet.
That it. xo C

I am going to be watching it tomorrow on another channel. I did see who the All Stars are. There are a few good ones that are back. I can't believe Rob and Amber are back again!

Gah, gah, gah!! Rob & Amber are back. Unfortunately, they are a strong force and have a good chance at winning. Let's hope they run into some bad luck along the way. This is their fourth reality show (not counting the televised wedding). Do they not have real lives? I'm rooting for Uchenna & Joyce and the Kentucky couple. I like Charla, but Mirna is sooo annonying.

I hate to say it but I like Amber and Rob. Did not like them on Survivor but enjoyed them on the Amazing Race last time. Not sure if I want them to win though - they must have lots of money by now. I think it would be great if the Kentucky couple won. Can't wait till next Sunday.

I guess Rob and Amber do make it interesting and they do play well. They have already won the first leg. Looks like they will be be coming to Canada on the vacation they won.
So far I like a few of the couples. I like Charla and David and Mary (the Kentucky couple) too. They said they were fans of each other.
Will be interesting next week.

Let's hope they run into some bad luck along the way. Let's hope they run off the edge of a cliff along the way. I'm tired of seeing them on television. *did I say that?* I'm rooting for Kentucky, but know that they don't have a prayer.

I was also happy to see Rob and Amber back. Maybe it's just the Boston accent ;D ;D. They are really good players and make for a good reality race. I also am rooting for Kentucky. But also do not think they have a prayer.
