Very dear friends of mine, Steve and Katie, have started a "band" for kids. They are called Princess Katie and Racer Steve. The music is amazing, catchy, and very fun. They perform in costume- all the songs have lessons and are just adorable. Not preachy- just really good tunes-!! Katie's voice sounds a bit like Natalie Merchant -I think the audience is for about 3 and up- Older girls may like them more than older boys, but there's something for everyone. There is no question...I will HAPPILY buy the cd!  It's is fantastic!! When I began playing it my 2 and a half year old daughter immediately emerged from the playroom...running, asking "what is that??" ....she then returned to the playroom only to drag her drums to the computer so she could play along...as I write she's bouncin' and dancing around...THANK YOU for sharing this!! a BIG  thumbs up!! |

Why yes....the big purple dinosaur I can do without....I won't name names! ;D ;D ;D Can't wait to hear the full length versions of the songs (in my Lovehammer off-time ;D ;D ;D)....please tell your friends they did a great job!! We watch a lot of Noggin around here and they play a lot of cool kids music...your friends should send them a cd for sure. Have they made a video? I'll go check their site again.
