I have been a fan of all kinds of music my whole life. I grew up listening to show tunes, mariachi music, Beatles and on and on. I was introduced a while back to some younger hip Christian bands that I like 1. Thousand Foot Krutch 2. Pillar 3. Family force 5
their sounds are similar in some ways and differing in others. If you like LH's or Nirvana or Foo Fighters or Goo goo dolls or Matchbox 20 then you would like these groups. They all have myspace accounts and it was fun checking out their stuff
Peace

Cheza thanks yes they are pretty cool too. I heard about them just a few weeks ago. I should see if they have a myspace. If they do its a nice place to hear new songs and tour dates etc.

Yeah, I got to meet them a few years back. Really nice guys. I had bought one of their shirts earlier and got it on before I went through the autograph line after their set and one of the guys kept joking with me about how he liked my shirt. I got their autographs. I'm excited about their new album. Stupidly, I didn't think to get my pic with them. Got my pic with Tait and tried to get a pic with Petra. Yet the girl who was taking the Petra pic obviously didn't know how to use a camera when I got the prints back She didn't even get all their heads in, much less mine...and she was rude...she was like a tour person or somit and kept moving everyone along. At least I did get their autographs before they retired *sigh*. I didn't have a digital camera that day (it was at ShoutFest and all three bands were playing along with Jump5, Olivia, Circleslide, and a few others), nor did I have a friend with me...lesson learned...always have a digital camera and a buddy to take pics. Thankfully the Tait pic turned out, but it was taken by a fellow fan...who knew the importance of such things...

Oh Cheza, how fun to have that memory but a bummer to not have pics. I remeber having a chance to see Keith Green but didn't take up the offer and he died months later. I had 2 buddies with and coulda taken pics?! Oh well.

Bought Tobymac's new CD "Portable Sounds" and the Special 2CD 10th anniversary edition of dctalk's "Jesus Freak" the other day. I like Toby's new CD, but somehow this one isn't hooking me in as quickly as "Welcome to Diverse City"...yet then again, I haven't listened to the entire album all the way through at any given point in time yet. I wish dct would put out some new music *sigh*...I enjoy the guys' solo efforts, but I'd just like to see them together again...

one more thing before i go, Dont ever go to a Anberlion concert and stand in the front row! if your gonna go, go find a seat, Or stand in the back a lean, because if your in the front, you will get your ass kicked, and its not fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will get crushed, and thrown down, or at least i did. so im just warning ya, later Rachel

Relient K and Switchfoot have both played in my area, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go. Flyleaf is playing Memphis in May this year. Some of the kids are planning on going down for the show.
