Very First Concert 8-17-06 i saw Joe Firstman Marty Casey and The lovehammers (of coarse, and for my very first, I was amazed.) These are christian rock bands i have seen: Toby Mac The Afters Family Force 5, 3 times Hawk Nelson, 2 times Jermy Camp Disciple Fireflight Deceyferdown Newsong Sanctus Real Lifehouse Everyday Sunday Nevertheless Anberlin Jonezetta, 2 times Daphne loves Derby PlayRadioPlay! I also went o my Countys Battle of the bands, which was interesting, cause it was like a Emo fest! lol, And all hardcore bands. But the band that won, was from my school, and i knew the guys, and they were the only non-hardcore band and they won YEY Regular 'Rock' Bands i have seen Capital Tragedy Augustana Goo Goo Dolls, 2 times Colby Calliat The Fray Mae OKGO And cant Froget, N. Halsted festival, saw tons of great bands, but our lovehammers rocked it. And saw Martys Acoustic show in Cambridge, OH I have some great moshing stories if ya wnat to here (just watching no moshing for me, i got pulled in once and that was scary enough) But there have been some other fantastic bands that have pulled through columbus but i havent been able to go (due to work, money, lack of company) like: 30 seconds to mars AFI Smashing pumpkins Madina lake Sick puppies Saosin Alter Bridge thats all i can remember regreting not going lol. And im supposed to go to Winterjam (Christian rock fest) Jan 25th Steven Curtus Chapman, Newsong, Skillet, and Barlowgirl are gonna be there. And the best for last, well almost ummmmmm....... MARILYN MANSON Feb 2, in my hometown, hell yeye. i find it ironic, that im going to a christian fest one weekend and the next im going to see the 'Antichrist' haha, but thats who i am, im diverse in my m usic and everyone should be! And.......... Hammerfest hell yey i will be there!!

Let's see...remember I'm in a rural (country predominant) area...so to go to shows it's a good drive (anywhere from an hour to four hours...depending on where I'm headed)...so shows can be few and far between...
First concert was a country one: Billy Hill and The Kentucky Headhunters - senior year...fall of 1990 or spring of 1991...can't remember which. Travis Tritt (twice) Marty Stuart Trisha Yearwood Garth Brooks Mark O'Connor Linda Davis Little Texas
(Those were all at the ASU Convocation Center...a little over an hour away...not then though, since most were while I was in college there)
Christian bands: Out of Eden in Memphis Audio Adrenaline in Memphis DC Talk in Memphis Seventh Day Slumber at ShoutFest Newsong in Jonesboro Petra at ShoutFest TAIT at ShoutFest Jump 5 (caught a bit of their set before one of the bands above at ShoutFest) ZOEgirl (same as above) at ShoutFest Jars of Clay in Little Rock at Riverfest
Sheryl Crow ... in her hometown at her high school football field (Kennett is only about 20 minutes from where I live, so this is the exception to the rule...Yes, Virginia...the same Kennett with the infamous Hammerheads Bar on Myspace.)!!!! I think it was the summer after "Tuesday Night Music Club" came out...in July.
I caught a bit of a Buckwheat Zydeco show at Riverfest one year...that was pretty cool.
KISS (original line-up...Farewell Tour), with Skid Row (post-Sebastian) and Ted Nugent opening the show, at Alltel Arena in Little Rock. This was the show in the tour book where they noted that a moron was shining a laser pointer down onto the stage and that area DJs reported that Peter was taken to a hospital post-show due to that. Paul stopped the show at one point and told the perp that if he was his kid he'd "shove it so far down his mouth it'd come out his" you-know-what. I was with a teacher friend...we were like let us at the guy with the laser pointer we deal with that crap daily...
I got to stand at Paul's feet for a few minutes when he flew on the flying rig out to the little stage at the back of the floor...due to my ballsy best friend...who dragged me down the stairs to the floor...I'm glad she did. That was totally awesome. I'm too timid for my own good sometimes. Starchild has always been my favorite...what can I say?
Those are the ones I can remember right now...there may be more...I'll edit and add them if I think of some.
FUTURE SHOWS: On track to be Hammered at Hammerfest...I can't wait to meet you all.
I would like to see B.B. King. I missed him at Riverfest a while back, and I'm hoping he'll play his club in Memphis again sometime. I am thinking about taking in Jonny Lang's show at Riverfest this year, and I really want to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra during the holiday tour sometime.

Ohhhh DC Talk - I have seen them too, you reminded me. I think it was Michael W. Smith, Kim Boyce and DC Talk....or maybe they were separate. It was pre-Jesus Freak, early 90s,
Misfits - I used to have (but sold them) a pair of doc martin's signed by Glen Danzig. I don't listen to them much anymore, since I had kids. I just can't get into it, but there was a time...
Also I saw a show in 7th grade or so that was New Kids, Tiffany, Dino, and Cover Girls. Also saw Debbie Gibson once. Also Janet Jackson back then, and Sweet Sensation LOL
I know there are more...trying to remember. The Smiths - Morrissey had a signing party at a record store near us and I think that was in 1992 or 1993, I was at that. I saw Belly around the same time at a club, and I saw Siouxsie and the Banshees at a club that I should never have been inside considering my age at the time...lol

ANNM, I think it was the "Free At Last" tour when I saw them, with Out of Eden (who were just newly signed to Goatee - Toby's label) and Audio Adrenaline in Memphis at the Cook Convention Center.
Wow, Siouxsie and the Banshees. I bet that was some show!
