Personally I think they should add another full-time geetarist... I can imagine them doing SOO much more musically with another...
would just make them more dynamic and versitile...

I agree, Billy can handle anything. Ben Kelly was the other guitar player.

Two six-strings just go farther... thats all...

Since they'll no longer be playing small stages (I hope), a second guitar might be good. Billy is definitely killer! I guess they'd have to rearrange some material. If Dave Navarro does join them in the studio to lay down some tracks, what will that be like. Also, think of some of the great dueling guitars throwing licks back and forth. I saw Lynyrd Skynrd (sp?) long ago and saw the Eagles on their Hotel California tour. There's nothing like two guitars doing harmony on a lead and throwing licks back & forth.

How about keyboard player. That would add another dimension to the sound.

How about keyboard player. That would add another dimension to the sound. Wow, ditto! I imagine they'd have some keyboards in the studio. However, I think the little ditty synthesizer on the RS version of Trees made it sound too pop. The original LH version rocks. But some real keyboards would be great. I wonder about the new material Marty is working on with cowriters. Is it being arranged more dynamically?

YEAH BABY! I don't actually have a strong opinion on whether or not the band should add a new guitarist; I think Billy's doing just fine. I just have to thank conducted for posting that image of WF. Just thinking about his masterly cowbell work (and the intensity of his moves) on "Don't Fear the Reaper" fills me with joy. I nearly peed myself. P.S. Adding a cowbellist instead of a guitarist wouldn't be a bad idea.

i could do a linda mccartney type thing and pretend to sing backup.... Why didn't any of the rest of us think of that idea first? So, okay, you get to do it. Just make sure you don't sing too loud. Did Linda sing at all or did she just do the Ashlee Simpson thing?
