That is SO true. You hear the original versions of any of the songs he sang on RSINXS and it just doesn't do it for you! I can ONLY listen to Marty. I heard "Mr. Brightside" the other day in the car and couldn't wait to get home and play MARTY'S version! Obsessed, I tell ya!

Oh man! I remember the night he did that song. I kept playing the video over and over and over. I loved Marty from the beginning, but I swear the fact that he could take such a bubble gum song and turn it to dark rock (and it rocked!) just did me in. I never thought I'd be saying "I love that song", but it's not the song Britney sings at all, it's all Martin-inized. LOL

Cute story about my ten year old daughter.... She watched the show with me, and always clapped and cheered for Marty. My sister and I were talking about the show one day, and I said "Marty" as my daughter walked in, and she said "you mean Marty Casey?" LOL
Then she fell asleep on the couch during the last show.... when JD was singing she was half asleep, and she asked "is that Marty singing?" I said "no, it's JD", she said "oh, I was going to say, what's wrong with his voice?" LOL When I woke her up at 6am for school the next morning....before her eyes were open, she asked "did Marty win?" LOL
She's going to be stealing my cd's!!!!

heeheehee That sounds famililiar--my DD is 9yrs old.
"Did Marty win?!" was the first thing out of her mouth the next morning as well. I have an iPod, so I bought downloads from the show off of MSN music, burned them to a CD and then out them onto my iPod. She's already 'borrowed' the CD...I heard Trees blaring from her bedroom yesterday after school. ;D

i used to think about marty every waking hour and had a touch of insomnia for a few days, now it has "creeped" into my sleep. You know you have it bad when you dream you're putting on your eyeliner and look into the mirror and see marty's reflection, not yours. the only reason i come to this board everyday is so i don't feel like i'm going crazy. thanks girls
