You know you're a Marty fan when you've had two dreams about him already and wish they were true! I had a dream about him the night after the final episode on VH1. I cannot say on this board what took place, but I'm married, and that was in no way a problem in my dream, if you get what I'm saying  ! Then I had a dream that I was on Rock Star, and I forgot the lines in my song -- how sad is that? I just miss being able to see Marty perform. |

When you fly to Chicago to see U2 on the very night of the RockStar finale and all you can think is, "Please let Marty win tonight", and then come back from the concert, get online at the hotel's business center just so you can find out what happened on the finale.......Noooo! How can it be? But your crushed heart must go on, so you find Marty Casey.org, and hope that there is a DVD version of Rock Star:INXS so you can see every piece of footage with Marty, every comment he made.

When you are in the aisle at Walmart to look for the IN TOUCH magazine that has the levi ad with Marty on it and you are singing "Im a Creep. Im a Weirdo." and turn to see someone staring at you.  |

2. The common theme in my dream is Marty
3. Trying to make other people love Marty, too. I've got three people so far.
4. Believing that I am Mrs. Casey heheheheheee.....
5. Listening to Creed's With Arms With Open and imagining Marty.
6. Listening to Radiohead's Creep and imagining Marty.
7. Listening to Britney Spear's Baby Hit Me One More Time and stillll.....imagining Marty.
AND FINALLY.....CREATING A CHARACTER FOR MY LATEST NOVEL THAT IS JUST LOOK LIKE MARTY!!!

You know you're a Marty fan when: You practically kicked in your tv set when INXS announced JD was the winner... You want to boycott INXS because you can't stand to listen to any other new lead singer for them other than Marty You are doing probably too much Marty Fan Art, and amateur Marty screen caps You tell everyone you know on and offline they HAD to vote for Marty..or else..... You wish you never had to start loving him, because it just hurts a bit... You find yourself suddenly downloading any and all Marty songs, original or not You watch the rockstar.msn.com Marty videos, EVEN THOUGH, every time you watch just one, your computer freezes up every time after the video, and you have to shut down cold and completely re-boot and run a standard scan disk for errors before you can get your desktop back...  AND: You wish more than anything you never had to sell your guitars (especially my beloved 12 string), to pay back rent, which you used to practice "Wish You Were Here" obsessively on, and now that Marty sang it twice, it really makes you again regret selling the guitars... I have never been like this about any band. I grew up in the 80's I have seen everyone in concert. I am a Rod Stewart fan for crying out loud. But the whole Marty thing is crazy. I come home from work and immediately check the message board to see check for any updates, sitings, or radioshows or tv interviews about Marty that I might have missed while at work.
I am truly a fan...

What made the Walmart thing worse is that it was early in the morning. I had been up late watching Marty videos and my eyes were tired and bloodshot looking. Plus, I cant sing worth a crap. My whole body felt flush when I turned my head to the side and I noticed some customer looking at me. I actually dont think I even remember if it was a gal (or guy). hmmm I was too embarrassed to notice. I closed the magazine and hurried up to pay for it. Yes, I bought the magazine for the ad. ;D

I've actually abandoned my Clay infatuation somewhat because I can't ever seem to get Marty's hypnotic steely-blue eyes out of my head. And you just have to admit, the man is as sexy as they get, and he rocks, which I prefer immensely to the lighter fare of Clay Aiken. It's just so funny - never thought I'd see a fan of both men here... Okay - you know you're a Marty fan when you've abanoned the messageboards of your former music crush, which were visited on a daily basis, to spend as much time as possible scrounging up every tidbit of info, scrutinizing every photo, and watching and re-watching every video of His Sexiness Mr. Marty Casey. Also, my preferred playlist on my iPod has switched to the Lovehammers rather than the playlist of the before-mentioned artist. In fact, the before-mentioned artist hasn't been listened to in over a month. Just doesn't seem to compare anymore... Okay, I've admitted it.... I feel better now... |

You know you're a Marty fan when... You carry around your IPod filled with only Marty and Lovehammers music and just wait for anyone to ask you what you are listening to. Then you force them to listen and become extremely upset if they are not immediately in love and praising Marty. You have been unable to accomplish anything worthwhile for the past several months and have only recently begun to recover from the havoc your Marty obsession has wreaked on your life (personal story: I've been trying to finish my thesis for months and haven't been able to concentrate. I just finished it this past Sunday - no coincidence that this occurred AFTER Rockstar ended). You frequently re-watch all of Marty's performances and the reality episodes from Rockstar, all of which you have downloaded, and pause and replay each and every adorable/sexy/cute/oddly interesting word or mannerism, and sometimes you even emit the slightest girly little giggle or gasp and can't even articulate why what he just did made you so excited.  |

You know you're a Marty fan when...you have your best friend's birthday dinner and she asks you how about 8pm and you say how about 7pm I can make it as early as you want...just because you are timing in your head what time the show comes on so you can make it back on time to watch even though you are taping it.
