This site is such a blast! I've been laughing and giggling reading all these posts about when you know you're a Marty fan, and I'm suffering ALL, and I mean ALL the same symptoms as everyone else. I'M NOT ALONE what a relief!
How great to tell someone else I go to sleep thinking of Marty, wake up thinking of Marty, and all day I'm thinking of Marty! (As well as the endless video reruns, pause, slow, rewind etc etc etc.) Ahh, and I'm WAY too old for this but I just can't fight it.

I have all the same symptoms. I've hardly done anything for the last 2 weeks (well, perhaps a slight exaggeration. I have fed my kids, after all!)
I haven't acted this way since I was a teenager...and now I am 39. I've also NEVER been on boards before, so Marty must have some kind of magic...and I love it!!

I haven't acted this way since I was a teenager...and now I am 39. I've also NEVER been on boards before, so Marty must have some kind of magic...and I love it!! I know exactly how you feel! I don't go on boards either and I haven't felt like this since high school but something about this site just keeps drawing me back, several times throughout the day and into the evening. It's the Marty Factor and I can't get enough! |

I actually think there are more of us around. I know they are completely different in many ways, but they are alike in determination, work-ethic, and intensity. But Marty is on my mind most of the times these days. I even dreamed of him last night. Oh my god! I did the same with Bo!!! Haha!! |

I walked around all day the day of the finale refusing to wear shoes anywhere! Now everytime I go barefoot I think of Marty. Well, all day everyday I think of Marty. |

You are a 46 year old mother from Chicago whom hasn't felt this good about music for 20 years. I must have downloaded the MSN video "Mr. Brightside" 50 times in one night and this feeling of being YOUNG again just rushed over me. Thank you Marty.

I love this!! It's so nice to know so many of us all have the same symptoms!! It would be nice if we could get a DVD version of the INXS show - preferrably just the Marty performances - wouldn't that be awesome? I'm so ticked that I didn't tape the series myself. By the way, I have to say, my favourite picture of him is the one listed in the photo gallery for the first episode, where he's posing in the blue jacket. Yum!! Of course, he looks good in every pic, but that one is my favourite. |

You know you are a Marty fan when....you can't see your boyfriend's face anymore, only Marty's. The first time I saw Marty, I (as well as others) saw an instant reseblance to my boyfriend. My boyfriend even saw the similarity in the eyes, hair and nose. We joked during the show all the time...I would be like honey, what are you going to sing tonight?  Anyway, I too can't get enough and feel young again! I just don't understand how I can be going through a midlife crisis at 31! ha |

Never wear eyeliner again, because no matter how hard you try, you just don't wear as well as he does!

You feel like you used to as a kid at xmas while waiting for your Lovehammers cd to arrive in the mail and feel totally pissed off that you can't download any of martys songs from rockstar because MSN Music doesn't let you download down here in New Zealand!!

When you look right past the rocker singing on INXS to try and catch a glimpse of Marty in the background whatever he's doing. You keep looking and looking til the show's finished.

When you completely miss the 405 exit and take the 5 instead. Meaning you end up in Hollywood, lost and confused, just because you were thinking how cool it would be if Marty ever showed up here to say hello. (thanks to one of the mods for putting this idea into my head the other day)

everyday that goes by you keep thinking o.k. now, i gotta get a grip... this is out of control....and you think... will not my cup ever fill of this man? everyday the answer is no...it never is.....you know you are a marty fan when no matter how hard you try to think about something else...you cant.

LOL - so many of the symptoms listed above apply to me too.
It was really rough for a couple of weeks there - I actually missed recapping Week 7's performances. Now, this means that I still have to do it, once I complete the recap of Finale Week.
Not just Bo Bice, but my all-time favorite celebrity Johnny Depp is now co-#1 on my list, a never before dreamt-possible scenario.
As for me personally, not only is Mr. AMAI getting more loving, but I'm finding I have to "take care of myself" and there's nowhere else to do that at the moment, except at work. I'll have to save the details for the 18+ forum, I suppose. Not that anyone probably wants or needs those details.
The fact that I'm even at this forum, still talking about Marty.
The fact that I'm trying to work out how to interview him.
The fact that I'm writing an erotic fantasy to tantalize your senses (and my own.)
