I figured out what it is about him.

It's obvious that he's cute but that's not it totally. It's the intensity. He is so friggin intense. You can just feel his energy it even comes through in his eyes when he's calm. Then when he starts really rocking and giving it all he's got you really feel it. You can feel his energy and intensity.

Also it's the feeling he puts into it. You can really feel it when you watch him.

it really is the intense energy and the passion he portrays...you just get sucked in. And who could not get lost in those piercing blue eyes and his smile just makes me melt ;)I just get filled with so much emotion when he performs. the perfect example I think would be "Wish you were here". You can feel exactly what he's feeling by just staring in those eyes.*melts*

So his eyes are blue. Every video I watch they look different and I think they are blue but one of them makes them look brown. I am thinking blue also though. Yeah it's his eyes and his smile. I just love his teeth and well the whole package. I could just go on and on.

He totally captivated me from the first time I seen him. There is just something about him I can't express, and believe you me I have tried to think of a word! He just grabs you in and takes your breath away.

Yes, it is stage presense. Also he is quite and calm offstage then comes onstage and gives it all to us. Just watched Creep again and very intense. Love how when song is done his body is actually shaking. Ahhhhh

Watch his "I alone" performance. You can't even compare any of the other performers to this performance.

I don't think you can describe in one word why Marty is liked so much.

His presence and vibe he gives off on stage is just enthralling it makes you beg for more of him. He is just one fantastic allround performer and nice guy, nothing fake about him like JD.

I like how he seems to be quiet (shy) at first, then lets loose on stage or when he knows what he is talking about, He is sooo pretty.. My husband thinks I am nuts but I think I am becoming obsessed, I watch the video's over and over again.. I wish they would make a cd of the songs he sang on rockstar, I would buy it, shoot I would buy 3, one for home, one for the truck, and one for when one of the others wears out. .. I think he is so sexy (can we say that?) when he sings Lithium (the first time) and that Brittney Spears song, (not a Brittney fan) but he sure can put a spin on it, He is too [glow=red,2,300]AWESOME[/glow] Lovehammers!!!!!! ( I feel like I am in high school again))
I used to write groups and singers on my bookcovers.. lol I am getting way to old.

I tuned in to RSINXS just out of curiosity to see what was going on. I really had no intention of watching on a regular basis.

Then I saw Marty ... heard the intense passion in his voice ... and I was totally captivated. He took my breath away, and never gave it back, as I got lost in the depth of his eyes. I could drown in those eyes, sometimes I think I did ... I got caught in the "Undertow."

Needless to say, I've been mesmerized and mystified ever since. I'm sincerely hoping that they put the show on a DVD so I can relive all the wonderful "Marty Moments." However, I now have both "MOMM" and "L'Strange" CDs, the single of the "Yes It Do" and "The Tunnel" and hopefully I'll soon be able to buy "Trees" from the Lovehammers website as well.

I was voting for Marty to win since he seemed to want it so much, but he's won in a better way, without having to compromise and he can remain true to himself. Marty and the Lovehammers have a fan in me for life. I can't wait to see him if they tour near my area.

I also feel like I am in high school again, if I wasnt married I would have his posters on my bedroom wall (not sure my husband would be too happy!!)

Exactly! It's the contrast between his offstage persona: soft spoken, thoughtful, sweet - vs his onstage intensity. Makes you wonder what kind of animal he'd be between the sheets! hahaha! Yes, I'm a perv.

I started watching week 3, Lithium. I thought he was awesome but the attraction was not so strong. But each week he performed so well and I have always been a sucker for the underdog mentality. He was never the underdog but it was obvious that he was grateful for every show he was able to stay. And by the end of the show I was completely hooked and in love with this man I didn't even know.

Yes he has an intensity. But I am more intrigued with who he is. I think he is the most beautiful man but it goes so much deeper than his looks. I am a very analytical person and it is such a paradox to see the Marty being interviewed and the Marty of pure reckless abandonment on stage. He personifies passion like I've never seen and he does it completely and unabashedly as he performs, but then he'll turn around after the performance and shoot this little boy grin. It's just completely sexy to me.

And for all those reasons in the opposite direction is why I did not like JD or should I say Jason now, lol. He was talented no doubt, but he had to "blow his own horn" a bit while Marty just had to perform or as I said in an earlier thread, "Do His Thang"

I am sure he will be a huge success and he will always have a loyal fan in me.

LOL It's the shy quiet ones that always surprise you!! LOL

Now to the question that was asked....what is it I like about Marty? Hmmm... I would have to say his intensity and passion (even when singing a slower song) are what I like the most. Then there's those eyes!!! WOW...those eyes!!! lol You could get lost in those eyes...and I think I have a few times.

I love the sound of his voice, even when just listening on cd. But one of my favorite things when watching him sing on the show...was when he would have a quiet moment and he would kinda look up and grin, that was just so cute it made you want to grab him and hug him. LOL.

His personality seems very sweet and genuine, that's another thing.

Gosh...I could probably keep going... LOL
