i am very familiar with this condition...i just told js that flying to indy was too exp and now she says fly to midway and she'll drive us there...what the hell is wrong with us? we are looneytunes..but we are very cute. also, i get the part about being able to see your mother- but, aside from that (like that's not important or anything)...i am wondering if the day event shows aren't just too crowded and crazy? summerfest postshow didnt go too well, right? and it even sounded like the show itself was kinda crzy too I guess my tolerance for crazies is pretty high because I worked in radio in college and co-promoted events at punk clubs (another life!) You have to realize Summerfest--is like an organized woodstock(not the sleeping in the mud part or the hippies) but it's the largest music fest in the world. You have to look at the stage that LH's were on and who the other bands were. Then you get the mix of people who are attracted to those bands. It is going to draw all kinds. (and I mean all kinds!) Last Fling won't be as crazy as Summerfest but I wouldn't necessarily expect a m&g. And there was no formal M&G last night either. I just don't know how long my mom is going to be around and I can justify flying to Chicago and sneeking in another show. NY is harder for me to justify. |

cj, did i guilt you too much, did you disappear? No I'm working ( or trying to) and multi-tasking. This is how we get each other in trouble. I was talking to someone last night and they said--you have a ticket--you have to go. And I had decided no--if I go to another show it will be last fling in Naperville--where I can visit my mother (who is 84 and ailing) at the same time. Then all of a sudden I'm thinking -- I could do both! When the adult part comes back and says--no. Then the little voice--Goes Carol--you have to go to NY. ARGH! ARGH!    how about MY voice Carol - YOU HAVE TO GO TO NEW YORK. ;D |

LHTS i like it...but it's like sleaze-time-share..one nighters only! we need to find another band that has a similar schedule and switch off with their lunatic fans.  good idea myO Sorry MyO it's bad enough I'm stalking a band at my age, I refuse to sleep anywhere with the word sleaze in it!!! I didn't say sleaze lisa did .............not sure why.... why did ya say sleaze lisa? ? no sleaze it would be Lovehammers luxury time share!!!!   |

i dont think i have ever "met" rockfan- where is she from? she is the one who helps everyone with the photos right? yep that's her...she's in charlotte nc, invited me to the inxs/lh show there to go w/ her instead of her hubby LOL you can see pics of her & i in the charlotte review thread...i think it's in the archives. she's the best with pics!! and that was when you became charlotte-  |

I used to go only at the holidays but we'd talk on the phone a lot. But it's harder and harder to talk with her on the phone--she's had a stroke and has Parkinson's disease so her speech isn't real good. I went Mother's Day weekend because she was in the hospital. But I need to do another trip In the next month or two. This aging parent stuff sucks!   |
