This is the first day I met Penny in person. Thank you for not thinking I was a loon. Or at least not treating me like I was a loon.

My first time 'chatting' with Penny was during the planning of the Viper Room pre dinner at Rainbow.

I must have pm'd her 50 times to make sure I was on the list and everything was ok.

I think I even called her once I got to Hollywood because I was running about 15 minutes late and was worried that we'd lose our table at the Rainbow.

Penny was so cool and laid back through out the whole thing and once I finally met her - I found out what a cool person she really is!

Thanks for making me feel welcome at my first dinner with a group of complete strangers.

Penny one of the first to welcome me into the Asylum. I was so in awe of Penny thought she was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY OLDER than me, like ancient cuz she was so wise. I bowed to her, took her word as law, when she put me in that time out stoop I stayed in time out. The woman is 2000 miles away from me and I stayed on that stoop! She forgot about me... FOR HOURS! It was truly a beautiful thing. The I come to find out PFFTT she is a mere babe in the woods a young Ivory girl looking thing. Sickening truly.

Well I came to be acquainted with Penny through Jodie and Kelley of course. I find her to be one of the funniest, snarkiest girls around and I love her sense of humor.

She has run a good ship around here in DG's absence and been a great storyteller of her many Marty/LH adventures including Elm Street liquors, Best Buy shows, Park West and many more.

Since then, she has listened to my own crazy stories, squeeed with me and even helped me edit some pm's/messages!

I was lucky enough to meet so many awesome gals for the 1st time at the Pearl room show: Rachel, Lisafaith, Kelley, Angie, Lora, Joan, Mishelle, Nancy, Nicole & Kim, and of course Penny.
She was kind enough to meet Jodie, Mishelle and I at our Residence Inn downtown towards the end of happy hour and take us to the awesome restaurant Bistro 110 before she had to dash home on the train.

Anyhow The Pearl room show rocked and Jodie, Kelley, Penny and I sang and sweated our asses off that whole show behind the rope in the corner. We had a squee fest when they played Sleeper and Low Life insurance of course!

My fave "totally Penny" memories from that show: Walking up to the line outside Pearl room and standing behind two girls who were talking about someone, their friend and just by the tone of the conversation we could tell it was Penny they were talking about. So Jodie and I introduced ourselves and it turned out to be Penny's college friends Jamie and Jacky who got :Hammered" by the LH with all of us that night.

Then listening to their Penny "Ive' still got it" story later hee.

And afterwards Penny being the best "finder of after parties" for goodness sake where we can have a lemon drop (good suggestion Kelley!)

(ok so these were not the actual lemon drops--still they are lemon drops!)


and after said lemon drops at 4am, we still got it! Heeeeeeee ;D


The next morning when we were all a little hung, Penny looked fresh as spring in her Pink hat, while we all dined on cracker barrel at Jodie's urging "cheesy cheesy potatos" where we said our goodbyes.

A great 1st meeting and hopefully a friendship forever. Thanks Pen!

I remember the first time meeting you...a knock on the hotel door, NLT saying it's Penny and in you came. I was shocked. I really expected to see a large blue duck. ;D ;D

Thanks for all the times I have logged on needing to escape my reality and laugh. You don't know how many times you have made that happen and for that I hope you have a great birthday!
