Hello Fly!!! I will keep practicing. I sang when I was a kid...was in honor choir. But, my parents were not supportive of what I did if it was interfering with them...so they made me quit. I had auditioned for the part. Only 10 positions out of the entire school district. I had 50 other kids in my school alone to audition agianst. I just want to try...it is just for me. That sucks. Parents are so weird sometimes. I can't sing worth a damn, so I'm always jealous of people who can. I'm so musically inept, I'm lucky to know how many strings a guitar has. |

I totally understand. I was really into theatre in high school but my parents didn't support it. They encouraged me to find a practical career--I did and then in my late 20's I said screw it and pursued acting in LA for about 10 years. It was one of the best things I did for myself! If you want to sing you should do it! |

My brother is the favorite...he can do no wrong. I am the dissapointment...mom told me that a few times. I think the last time was like a few weeks ago...I forget. I am told so often by her. If you want to sing you should do it! I just want to see my potential. I just wonder what I could do. I wasn't allowed to take dance classes. So when I was in college I did...I was good at it. Just my age to start was not what they recommend for 'career' dancers. I just wondered about singing...when I was a little girl....I wanted to be a background singer. I was shy and I wanted to sing and dance in the back...  |
