I'm thinking about looking into the laser eye surgey. I can't wear contacts and I am sick of glasses. I hate my glasses! And I went last month to see if I could get contacts but the eye doctor told me he wouldn't even try to do them since my vision would never be right. I have a double astigmatism. I just don't wear my glasses. Works for me. LOL oh my, yeah, my hubby can't wear contacts either cuz of the astigmatism. You have double?

Insurance used to pay but didn't get it done before they dropped it. [/IMG]
I dunno if my insurance covers it or not, I'm sure they do. I'm skeered of having someone poking around in my eyes tho.

If I dont wear them to work I get really bad headaches from eye strain.

My hubby had laser eye surgery and he can see perfectly now. It was a little over $1500. He told me it was in case there was a terrorist attack or something and he needed to protect the family in the middle of the night. Of course, he bought a porsche at the same time and how does that help?!?!?!?!? Apparently, I am not the only one in my household with denial issues.

I've been wearing contacts for...oh my god, 19 years. Until fairly recently, I was only able to wear the gas permeable (hard) lenses, but they have made advances in the design of the soft ones and that is what I wear now. I would kill for laser eye surgery.

I have contacts but I can't wear them because I have severe dry eye in my right eye. Even the new hydra clear that are for dry eye doesn't work. my eye gets so dry that the contact sticks to my eyeball.

And the doc was explaining something about horizontal and vertical. I get the weirdest sh** happening to me. I go to the doc next week to try to figure out what is causing the blisters on my hands. This will be doc # 5. Oh, and apparently I was exposed to PCB/PBB when I was an infant. It is a fire retardant similiar to DDT that was accidently fed to cows in Michigan in my town. Glad I just found that out at age 36.
