???I don't know, i am letting fate decide. Kind of playing roulette. The little ball is my entry into the contest, if it goes to the right number then I will push for it, but if not, then it is ok, if I don't/can't go to HJ cruise. I am patient, I can wait for another opportunity or pray for another oportunity. How about you? Well, if you win the ticket, I think you should go. I mean, its not like you paid for it... Nope, not going. I can't afford it, and I'm kind of saving up for the next Juke show. I'm looking forward to seeing little Eddie play again. That is a BIG IF. You think Juke is coming back soon? I thought they went back to Austrailia?

They are in Australia right now, but I don't want to miss an opportunity if they don't tour up here again. If they tour the way LH tours ( ), then I'll have to travel to meet them.

Hey Fly,
I just read your story. Loved it! I send you some comments. I love stories with a lot of good dialogue. That's what I'm hoping to write when I get the writing groove. I've been playing around with flash fiction - very short, snappy stuff - 300-400 words. I might post another story - a short piece that I wrote last spring. You've inspired me!
Have you entered any contests? Gotten anything published? I've been trying to get the nerve to send one of my short pieces off to a writing contest. It's very scary.

I've always liked playing with dialogue. I've done flash fiction-in fact, one of my stories in utero is growing out of one of my short short stories from a few years ago, and I'm hoping it'll be the ending, or at least kind of the ending. Nope, never. I used to run a website for my poetry, but I had it shut down about a year and a half ago. I'm putting things together to send into a publisher, and hoping I can get something at least sent out by the end of the year. I'd love to read your work.

Woohoo! About poetry... I never had much interest until recently. I read tons of novels when I was younger. Got into short stories a couple of years ago when I starting taking writing workshops. Then, in Sept 2005... a poem just sort of fell out of my head. I've written a few since then. Some are kind of heavy and weird. On the other hand, I have this crazy poetry technique - I call it '10-second poetry'. I want to write a bunch of them before I try to get them published. My secret dream is to be a writer. I'd better get moving on it - I'm turning 50 this year. But, I'm a late bloomer with most things... ;D ;D

Most of them are written whenever they pop into my head, so they're spastic and don't come very often sometimes. I don't try to force them. ;D ;D ;D I haven't finished a short story until just recently. I lose interest usually and quit. Good luck getting published! I've been writing since the third grade, but I'm just now in full bloom...though 3rd grade wasn't really that long ago...

I know what you mean about losing interest. I was going to send a couple of pieces off to contests last spring. Then I got distracted with life and its calamities. I'm so distractable - it's ridiculous. Either I'm distracted or depressed - well lately anyway. Plus I move a lot. I moved last June and it was my 6th move in 5 years. Habit forming. I actually like the ritual. Sick, hunh? I'm thinking of moving again... just can't help it. If I weren't so darn impulsive, maybe I'd get it right. Ever since I left a rotten relationship 6 years ago, I've turned into an impulsive, distracted woman.
But here's the thing. If I would still be with my ex, I never would have watched RS:INXS, never would have had Marty come into my universe, and never would have met you guys.
So, life could be a lot worse !!

Well, I don't think people really learn who they are until they've lived on their own for a few years. I learned that moving away from my parents into college. Being alone changes the way you think.
Anywho...Roomie's in bed before me for once, so I should probably stop typing in the dark and get some sleep. Night RJ!

It makes the insomnia so much easier to take. See ya, Fly.
