Some lovely memories from the Pearl Room show! This was from a series of 3 photos that are very special to me. Marty was interacting personally with me and my camera. At their show at CBGB's in Feb, I was in the second row, right in front of Marty. I had been trying not to take photos when he was looking my way, because I didn't want to blind him with the flash. By the end of the show, he was looking at me like, "What's wrong with you? Take the photo already!"  So I decided that the next time I could get down front at a show, I would do it. At the Pearl Room, I was down front near Billy. Marty had come over there to sing, and then he saw me and grinned. I raised my camera, and instantly he went into the "surprised look" with the huge eyes. I snapped a photo of that:  Then he dropped down, leaned toward me, and gave me the most beautiful smile. He held his microphone away from his face so I could get the best shot:  CLOSE-UP:  Then he looked very sweet and happy when he got back up and went on his way:  CLOSE-UP:  That was a very special memory for me!
